In the alternate timeline they're going to create, the kids all died when Alternia invaded Earth after successfully winning their own game.

Also one of the formspring updates a while ago pointed out that the trolls had 24 genetic code characters for Doc Scratch, while the kids only had four for Bec, and posited that there could have been some further as of yet unseen shenanigans going on with the guardian creation. Having an alternate timeline produce a second code could do it. This seems like too obvious a course to take, though. Especially since most of it comes from formspring, which exists mostly for Andrew to troll his fans.

Calling it now: The kids cause the scratch, and we get a '==>' link that takes us back to the first comic. Then it turns out to be a dream bubble. Then it turns out to be a death bubble in an alternate past where John was eaten by a giant space spider. Then it turns out that THAT was just a dream bubble. Then we get more troll smut. Then Hussie suddenly introduces new characters out of nowhere.

And in the course of three pesterlogs Hussie has catapulted himself all the way to the top of his echeladder, achieving the demi-god powered rank of Troll Jegus. His porkchop-shaped Troll Flag is so obscenely large and ugly it blinds you just looking at it.
