Also, maybe he kinda went slack so Nepeta didn't hit him like he was a brick wall.

Or maybe he was just surprised. He does look surprised.

Maybe just for fun he threw himself backwards with Nepeta, so that he slid as well.

Are you sure you'd even get that far? Hulk Hogan is 302 pounds of pure muscle. I doubt even a normal bodybulder could push him down.

Maybe the strength is relative? He does look stronger than the other grubs.

I imagine Babby Equius would be about as strong as a fully grown troll, meaning that he can climba all over Karkat without causeing him bodily harm, but could probably also beat the snot out of him if Mr. Beepbeepmeow decided to take umbridge to his right horn.
