OK, got a real complaint now.  For about a year now, something sinister has been happening.  By this, I mean, something just so wrong as to leave one queasy and sick inside.

MY FAVORITE BOOK SECTION (sci-fi and fantasy) AT BARNES AND NOBLE IS BEING OVERRUN WITH TEENY-BOPPER WANNA BE VAMPIRE ROMANCE CRAP!  W T F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I mean literally, in just 1 year, over half the section is now filled with this this this...UTTER GARBAGE and all the good books are gone.  I have to order everything I want to read now, sometimes from Europe.  The only books now are beside this crappity crap crap is just more Wheel of Time crap (over 70 books on the shelves, taking up an almost entire rack) and other abso-fuking-lutely useless series.  I bet that if you got rid of the supernatural romance crap (complete with hot girl/hunky guy on covers like some dime store trash novel) taht there is less than 30 other authors even on the shelves.  I wanna shoot myself the sorry ass chan4loving-immature-candyass-faghags who think this stuff belongs in the fantasy/sci-fi section instead of the teen romance section.  THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!  DEAR GOD HELP!

Well, Gorjo, it may sound insane, but that's how they make most of their money.  Apparently Twilight is the only thing that keeps some bookstores afloat.  I'd make a comment on it being ironic that bookstores are so dependant on sucking sustenance of of teenage girls, but that wouldn't be original.

I dunno... There can't possibly be that much demand for Twilight still. Maybe it's a different vampire romance series?

Something made me angry a few minutes ago. I had two mugs of tea on my desk beside me. One from yesterday morning and one I had just made. I just picked up the old one and drank from it. The general horrible taste and surprise almost made me throw up.

Smoking neighbors.

This is Hong Kong, where most people live in apartments, and where the wall between them is less than 0.5m of concrete.

They have their god damn right to abuse drugs/suicidesmoke, right.
They know it's harmful but they wouldn't/couldn't quit, I have no problem with that too.

But they know it's harmful to their families, but still can't be arsed to go outside to smoke. So instead of smoking inside their own apartments they do it in the balcony, blowing their poison out.

RIGHT INTO THE NEXT APRATMENT. Left or right depending on the wind.

That's what I have a problem with. Fucking bastards won't go outside to smoke, won't poison their own families but have no problem poisoning everyone else.

Laws? Yeah, there are laws restricting where people can smoke. Not surprisingly that doesn't include homes/balconies. But the FATAL FLAW of those laws are that they are only restricting WHERE, not WHERE THEY CAN SPREAD THEIR FILTH TO.

The place I live in is government subsidized apartments, where smoking is banned in all public places (violation is HKD1500 and -5 points for residents; lose 15 points in two years and your rental will be terminated). But are the laws being enforced? I'll tell you this: if I get a cent for each cigarette bud on the ground, I'd be a fucking millionaire within a month.

Today I was made angry because of sites that host malware etc.
i.e. tried to download a gifBackgroundanimator thing, but all redirects led to infected sites. :SAGRIN:
Eventually managed to animate the C=64 BASIC screen BG by setting up the gif as a custom desktop item. :D That reset my moodmeter to neutral.
Now only to remember how to hide the shortcuts.

It's like Harry Potter and the magic school thing.  As soon as a wildly successful book series comes out, imitators come flying out of nowhere.  The Twilight tards at my school were coming to school with new "gothic romance" (The name given to it by people desperate to retain some tiny shred of dignity) novels every week.  Pisses me off.

Kcwong's post made me angry. Not because I disagree with his opinon no, but just me being pissed at anti smoking laws. It's gotten to the point that it's in my own house or nowhere. Meaning I don't have much motivation to get out of the house.
