Dear Half the Internet,

Your requests have been heard and are currently under review.
While at this time a verdict has not yet been reached, I chance to say your prospects look good.

Affectionately,
Wife of Chmod

Well, I don't mean to put you up on a pedestal, but praise be the Wife of Chmod! Huzzah Huzzah Huzzah!

The pesky new method of assigning jobs is taking forever...

Don't worry, she is worthy of the pedestal. Amalthea's abundant grace and wisdom are matched only by her radiant beauty.

All hail Amalthea, Wife-of-Chmod!

Made some more progress today. The labor map is working, and I have it loading dwarves and you can set their labors. However I still haven't figured out how skills are stored. I may have to cut some corners and just get a version out that allows labors but can't show skill in those labors.

Slow going, but progress is being made.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

I find it much harder to play DF without the help of some therapy.  But your wife sounds so awesom she deserves to have some yard work done as well.

Thank you for making Dwarf Therapist. I never really thought about how much less tedious it makes the game before I had to try to play without it.

Honestly, I can't imagine playing DF seriously without Therapist.

It it ok to try new features, play around and so on, but for REAL fortress, I need REAL tool.

REALLY

thank you Amalthea, for your understanding and for taking time to register to forum and speaking to us.

Thank you chmod for your effort, and your wife for her understanding!
You make Dwarf Fortress actually playable for me - I tried to build a fortress but, but it is really next to impossible for me without therapist.
I really cannot understand how it was played before therapist and manager were created :)
