I'm guessing mortars or something were you aim somewhere else when you hit the target.  Like a Demoman!

Ya basiclly stuff that you don't need a direct line of sight (most guns need direct line of sight) so things like howlizers, mortars, many rockets and such would be considered indirect fire.

Indirect fire means anything you don't have to point at the enemy.

I stopped watching CNN after 9/11. They try to give people what they think people want to see, but it just ends up being garbage.
The real problem is: that result means they have succeeded at that goal.

Also, that video was epic.

The problem with 24 hour news networks is that you never have enough stories to report on, but when the fly that Obama swats is put on TV for God knows how long, you have to think "Isn't there something more important going on somewhere else.

If you want a hall of shame for news stories, you could find it at fark. It has an entire section called "not news".

Yeah, I saw that on msn for like, 3 days. What was even stupider was that PETA said something about it.

What are they going to do next? Hold a god damned candlelight vigil for that mosquito I just killed? Also, who gives a shit about pandas? I know I don't. They never did anything for us.

Wow. Just...wow. I thought the fly example was hyperbolic. And they report on Pandas because they're fucking adorable. Obviously.

Only news I ever bother paying any attention to is actually the government sponsored ABC news (Australian), and even that's slowly creeping into sensationalistic tendancies. Of course, since I listen to question time (AKA senators trying to show each other up as idiots) and pay moderate attention to global events, basically anything they report on I allready know the basic details of.

I saw PETA's comments on the Obama fly thing. What I saw was that they had actually been chased up for their opinions by the news network - it was basically "It's a fly, we don't really care very much." Surprisingly realistic and non-confrontational compared to their other statements about basically anything ever.

You all want to watch the BBC, other than the few decidedly British-based stories (like floods, and killings, ect) they usually report things with unbiased fervour, not really ever attempting to be funny.

only real difference is the lack of funny and less U.S.A based topics.

It's pretty interesting actually, provided that whoever has the floor at the time isn't a piss-boring monotone speaker. Whatever it looks like from the outside, listening to parliment argue over every little detail of every little issue is quite nice, since someone's eventually going to make a well-informed, well-rounded argument and restore my faith that there actually is thought given to the acts passed.

Also, having direct knowledge of how the upper areas of government work > uninformed knee jerk "LOL DEM GUBMINT PUPLES DUN NOW SHIT HOW TA RUN CUNTRIY" that I have to put up with every day from two thirds of the people I meet. I mean, yeah parliament's doing abnormally well if they manage to pass something and it doesn't blow up in everyone's faces but scotty whoever who can barely even handle the information he gets from A current Affair sure as shit wouldn't be able to do the job and shouldn't be able to then whinge when a complex system he can't be bothered taking the time to even pay passing attention to goes and makes a string of oversights in its attempts to please everyone.

(apologies if this post got incoherent, but it's 3AM and I pretty much totally lost my train of thought there. It makes sense to me now but who knows what it's gonna look like tomorrow!)

When I want fake news, I go to The Onion. Guaranteed entirely fictitious.
None of this pansy-assed half-truths like you see on CNN sometimes.
