You.... how... why?
It's pretty interesting actually, provided that whoever has the floor at the time isn't a piss-boring monotone speaker. Whatever it looks like from the outside, listening to parliment argue over every little detail of every little issue is quite nice, since someone's eventually going to make a well-informed, well-rounded argument and restore my faith that there actually
is thought given to the acts passed.
Also, having direct knowledge of how the upper areas of government work > uninformed knee jerk "LOL DEM GUBMINT PUPLES DUN NOW SHIT HOW TA RUN CUNTRIY" that I have to put up with every day from two thirds of the people I meet. I mean, yeah parliament's doing abnormally well if they manage to pass something and it doesn't blow up in everyone's faces but scotty whoever who can barely even handle the information he gets from A current Affair sure as shit wouldn't be able to do the job and shouldn't be able to then whinge when a complex system he can't be bothered taking the time to even pay passing attention to goes and makes a string of oversights in its attempts to please everyone.
(apologies if this post got incoherent, but it's 3AM and I pretty much totally lost my train of thought there. It makes sense to me now but who knows what it's gonna look like tomorrow!)
