I think that the choice should be made in the bloodsoaked Arena as it was in the Opening.

The way I see it the whole point of the WoA is to pit Dwarves against each other and let the more skilled/lucky/etc move on.

A poll to choose would break the honor of the fights.

I would, but there are too many high ranking dwarves. We'd end up with a dwarf at a higher rank then Fireheart before finding a clear contender. I also want to keep with a type of official contender rank where you must defeat those in Rysith's position before fighting the top dwarf.

There's a kind of invisible rule I have in place where no Champion or WoA Contender can share a rank with a dwarf that qualifies to fight for their title. Like a hammerdwarf can't share a rank with the hammer/macedwarf champion without fighting them and no dwarf can share a rank with the WoA Contender (Rysith) without fighting them.

Hey, i just kinda skipped through this thread and read all the cool narrated battle scenes, what happened to those?

The narrated battles took quite a while to do, so to move things along I made fights between unskilled dwarves and 1st degree dwarves preliminary fights where I only give the raw results. Fights between 2nd degree dwarves+ will still be narrated.

Me and my last minute plan changing...

I was just about to change the polls to two poll with four each and pick the top dwarf from each poll, but then I found a logical way of choosing the two dwarves.

Kesham.

This is a pretty obvious choice and I had him picked from the start as a top contender. It was who Kesham should fight that I was wondering. Anyways, Kesham is by far the most deadly warrior of the new group of dwarves and I wanted at least one of these two dwarves to be from that group.

Nichaey.

Nichaey's equipment is almost on par with Fireheart at this stage and his ONLY loss was against the future Champion. With that said, we don't know what would have happened if Nichaey was in Vulcar's place, for all we know he might have defeated Rysith and made it to the finals.

So, we have our battle. The winner of those two dwarves will move on to fight Rysith for a shot at Fireheart and his Championship. Goodluck.

I was going to challenge Nichaey anyway! I've been planning it since two battles ago, and the only reason I didn't challenge him already was because you started tossing in new rules the moment I reached his rank!

Hand-selection and logic happened. Looking at Fireheart and Rysith, Kesham has the best equipment of the new dwarves and Nichaey has the least damaging fight record of all the other 2nd Degree dwarves.
