I'd like a realistic wargame where when my buddies or enemies get shot, they go down screaming and crying for their mothers.

Hell, it'd make people think about what their committing in-game.

The sad thing is that most likely it would just further desensitize people to violence until everyone became a sociopath. :(

I'd be more interested in a RPG that had realistic wounding and consequences of combat.  Something that wasn't just all about killing.

Yeah. I dislike RPGs where the developers constantly harp on and on about how many choices you will have, when in the end, those choices devolve into who to kill and how.

Eh, I like the shield system in Halo, it works for the time period the game is set in.

If you're using plasma rifles, and you hit someone in the leg, and they don't have shielding, THAT LEG IS GONE.  You die.  Don't lose your shields.  If you still have them, 'sallgood.

The only other characters that had shielding were the elites, still everyone held on to their limbs just fine.

Would work well in a game where combat is mildly discouraged, such as an infiltration game. Only that wouldn't work well, as the player would have some sort of killing them without being detected...

The game would need something like per pixel hit detection to allow for grazes and whatnot, unless it used a dice rolling system.

That doesn't seem too bad.  Just change the models so there's one shell for grazes, one shell for more critical hits, and solids defined inside the model for vitals (brain, heart, specials for lungs, etc).  Grazes will be mostly rare though.

It was pretty much a clone of Halo but without any interesting weapons or enemies.
Oh so you mean "just like halo" actually? Or did it lack shitty level design  ;D

The level design was better than Halo I think.  But really, the weapons were allot less interesting.  There was one type of assault rifle per, one type of shotgun per side, one type of sniper rifle per side, a flamethrower, a minigun, a rocket launcher, a knife, a pistol, and one functionally identical type of grenade per side.  you could add nectar to the knives and grenades to make them overdose the Mantel Troopers, but that was about the extent of it.  Oh yeah, and there were stationary mountable machine guns, two types of buggy vehicle (one per side), and one type of ATV.

the amount of weapons dosent neccesarily entail the game's Epic.

in this case however, nectar is all its got going for it.

That's my point.  Numbers have nothing to do with it.  The weapons were horribly uninteresting compared to Halo's.  Halo had everything Haze had, plus some more interesting ones as well with the covenant weapons actually functioning in some noticeably different way.  It had more unique vehicles, and it came out years earlier.  Gameplaywise HAZE was really nothing more than an expensive knock off, which is really disappointing considering who made it.  Especially since Halo wasn't even that great gameplaywise to begin with.

I don't know what you are talking about. Halo has exactly two weapons. The pistol and the assault rifle, the rest doesnt count. Maybe the mounted warthog machine gun. So three if you push it.

And I wont hear anything else.
