This gentlemen is Dodók Kelstukos Desisuzlir Bomrek, or Dodók Metalrazors, the Snarling Faction of Whipping.
The next spoiler is his story, it's interesting to read and than look at the portrait with his history in mind. WARNING: I tried to shorten it a bit, but it's still a whole story. It's long. Also my english... is not the best.
He was a Fortress Guard until he decided to leave his home with some of his friend and explore the 5 year old world around them. They realised that actually nobody knows the exact locations of the beasts around the Fortress, but everyone talked about a Human named Tamed Frameslop, but noone knew his location. Their mission was clear: search for the Human Tamed Frameslop and with his guidance, kill the megabeasts around the Fortress.
In their search they killed Glowrouted, a giant dingo, who devoured the fortress's livestock. When crossing a river, an alligator bit Dodók in the leg, and he lost his ability to stand. This, however didn't dissuaded them from their search, they killed Lecit Judgedunes, the roc, and found a Labirinth. In the labirinth dodók watched as Pridefangs the Scar of Muck the minotaur tears apart his best friend. He couldn't save him as he moved slowly from his leg injury. After a long battle he finally bashed out the last breath from the Minotaur, he took it's head and layed it down at his friend's grave. He took his friend's sword and sworn that he never forgets his companions and his goal and bring glory to this blade and all of it's users.
He continued to search for the human. He found an other Fortress, and learned that there is a human town at the other side of the mountain. Also he found some new followers. Together they travelled around the hill, to get to the town. At the borders of the town they met with a goblin horde who didn't attacked them. Dodók asked them about their journey, and have found out that they are on some important mission. They left them and in the city found out, that nobody knows Tamed Frameslop. They found some new followers, but was forced into helping out the Humans. Dodók asked about their troubles and found out about a Hydra in a nearby cave. They also found out that the goblin horde was a smaller troop of a group, led by a goblin Sostbúb Spitedoom. Spitedoom's brothers in fact were the leaders of the horde at the borders of the town. Dodók seen enough blood for that time and knew, that the last thing his people want is war with the goblins. He imagined armor trades instead, to equip the fortress guards against the megabeasts. He talked to Spitedoom's brothers and finally managed to know them as firends and teammates. He wanted to dissuade Sostbúb from raiding the human town. They left the other goblins behind and started to go to Sostbúb's camp, however they had to camp for a night. That night something horrible happened: Dodók's human followers killed Sostbúb's brothers as they were defenseless. This started a war against out hero's homeland. The nearby goblin camp chased Dodók's team until dawn, when they lost them at a river-crossing. Dodók lost his human followers in the run but still had two dwarves. They couldn't go back. They had to go to east, to the hydra.
The cave smelled from a distance. Rotting elf meat and the stench of the beast welcomed our heroes in the cave. Dodók tried to sneak, however his followers marched in clacking armor behind him. Ozse Championpulps the Certain Pelts attacked. In one hit it smashed one of the dwarves to pieces, then Dodók stabbed the beast in the chest. The other dwarf hovewer used this time to flee. Dodók was alone. The beast scratched his other leg, and he fell over. Then the hydra attacked him with all his heads, but Dodók rolled away. He kept fighting, and wounded the creature's chest many times, until it bled to death. Then he drew his copper dagger and butchered the body of the beast, then crawled out from the cave, told the other dwarf, that his friend is dead and he did nothing about it. He took the dwarf's greaves and told him, that a warrior needs it more, and he does not deserves it. He can however carry the beast's meat.
They sneaked all the way back to the Human Town and tell the leader that the hydra is dead. They greeted them as heroes. Dodók did found another piece of crutch, but with all his leg and one of his soulders is badly damaged, he lost the ability to stand up again forever. He gathered some more human troops and told the Leader of the humans that he will come back with Stosbúb Spitedoom's head. They massacred the goblin camp that day. Dodók's blade cut off at least ten goblin heads, and the last was Stosbúb Spitedoom himself. Dodók's team had some casulties as well. The cowardly dwarf died quickly. One of the human followers is damaged badly and lost a leg. There only one human pikeman left who was almost unharmed. The goblins had a lot off value and robbed coins. Dodók looted all the chests and taken Stosbúb's masterwork clothes. He returned to the Human town, dropped Stosbúb's head on the floor, gave the badly damaged spearwoman a lot of coins and sad farewell. Together with the other pikemen they started to go home, to the Fortress.
It was nearly a week's walk through the mountain. On arrival Dodók found out that the dwarves wasn't as impressed as he tought. They have taken all his ranks. He felt like an outsider. He gave a lot of gold to his fortress, and to the pikeman. He sad farewell to his follower, but the human stayed. Dodók finally retired with his human friend.
Well this was the story of Dodók Kellstukos Desisuzlir Bomrek, the dwarf, who have seen his friends die, who wanted to make peace, but found war instead, who crawled while defeating many foes. If you red this long story, thank you. Now When you take a look at Dodók while he sits on the floor between his crotches, in Spitedoom's masterwork clothing and his dwarven guard armor, in the back is his best friend's steel sword, you see, what I see. A young but broken warrior, who is an outsider in his own home.
Thank you for reading.
