Tragedy! Another polar expedition struck down by the elements!

Say, this gives me an idea for a modded adv mode succession game that I totally do not have the time to run right now.

You can actually fly over it (I slapped flight onto dwarves temporarily) and be safe from getting encased in ice. But when I tried to, I was already like halfway through the section I was trying to cross and the lag became too much.

it's not flying over the issue it's more the ice will collapse then shoot up water several Z levels to the ceiling then freeze, if you're flying chances are you going to get hit

I guess 9dots is in a 'western' mood since those last two look like theyre from a Wild West sort of setting. Though that's more the third one. The second one looks more like a rogue or thief with the dagger in his hand.

No idea what the second one is holding in his left hand, looks mechanical. Could be a gun, but is being held in a really strange way.

Great art as always 9dots. :D

Do anyone know what "........." is?
He don't seem to speak (or type...) anything... I can only find art from him.

He's an artist, just doesn't talk much on the forum.

Oh, he does talk :P but seemingly not much. I recall there are some B12 regulars here who know him IRL.
Seems like an abstract(?) artist for me :o Unsure of the terminology again...
Whichever is which, he's a real good one. Right now, I believe he's drawing his adventurers. In awesome detail.

...But yeah. He does talk. Just not much in text. :P

He doesn't need to speak. His pictures speak a thousand words. :P

I think it might be a carving knife, given the flat end (carving knives only need to slice, not stab.) No idea what's going on with the grip and fingers there. Right hand could be a boning knife or just a knife.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Is that a weapon? How alarming." (Stabs twice) "Tsk, tsk."

It was a grey feathered and winged humanoid night horror, with something like a judgmental stare. The swift and economical response to my arrival was somehow comical combined with that.

Maybe you guys should just ask Toady One directly for clarification? That character sketch seems fine. You won't get blammed or anything for wanting to ask for clarification.

Drawing unclothed stick figures is fine because, you know, stick figures, as long as you don't draw genitalia or boobs on them.

Even genitals and breasts are not inherently erotic.
