The ftb launcher still works just fine. Dunno what curse thing you're using.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

It's what FTB is launched on now, and given that I couldn't find a link to the old launcher anywhere on the FTB page (and the fact that my searches for "FTB without curses" yielded no real results), I assumed it was no longer supported.
But actually searching for the FTB launcher does give a result (linking to a legacy page where I can download the old launcher), so I'll try that out and see if it works.

As a warning, the legacy FTB launcher did not work with 1.10 stuff for me while the curse launcher does.

I've downloaded the 1.10 infinity lite pack with the ftb launcher and it worked.

The lack of good pipes in 1.10.2, with the exception of Ender IO, is killing me.

I've noticed with ftb lite that the game will often lag out in single player, as it would if I were playing online with a poor connection to the server. I don't lose control of the player, but movements I make, blocks I place or remove, and mobs will size up and occasionally go in reverse. Any idea what's up with that?

Well it is running a server, I think.

I assume the sever is halting. When the server halts, the monsters essentially don't move during that time. Minecraft probably uses extrapolation like quake. That means you see the best guess on where the monster should be all the time, and even use that for collisions. When that gets fixed, stuff returns to it's actual position- or more likely a whole new extrapolation.

Now as for freezing monsters- that is your connection to the server halting. You aren't getting enough data to even guess where the the monster should be. So it just shows up as frozen.

Why should your local client connection to the server ever halt?

Oh right, Minecraft codebase is a clusterfuck.

So, I've been playing FTB lite 1.10 for a while, and I have a few questions:
My first question is that I am wondering what a good sorting/passing block is (eg. you put items into it or in a chest next to it, and it puts its items into an adjacent block when the square is empty and can accept more items).
My second question is more important. I am playing on Curses, (as I am pretty sure that there isn't any other way to play FTB) and every time I start it up it redownloads the entire modpack and puts it together again, which requires an internet connection and like 15 minutes. A) Is it supposed to do that and B) Is there any way to get it to not do that?

Perhaps try to reinstall Curse, something is broken.

Are there any other B12 Minecrafters who do YouTube videos? I'm looking to team up with a few other people instead of just my mom for videos and such.
Making videos together, possibly running a small server. Basically, starting a small Minecraft "team" like Hermitcraft, Mindcrack, etc. (although obviously more casual).

I had done a couple videos before, but my quality was a bit low as the computer is pretty old.

Might as well mention this, but you may be able to do a few things at the site we claimed in Devoted, if you are willing to go to Vanilla.  Most of the people have left, but you could revive it for whatever you are doing.  Only a few people floating around, so organizing something would be easier.

Anyone have a list of what mods are updated for 1.10.2? All the CotH mods, Buildcraft and Thaumcraft aren't yet. Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

There's always Pixelmon. It has a version for 1.10.2, and will be moving on to 1.11 some time later this year.
