I think my nostalgia to when i first played minecraft (just before the halloween update) just comes from that feeling that i had when i first played minecraft, walking over the hills and mountains of my perlin-noise world, digging into a hill and looking out in the night, seeing mobs walk around...
That magical feeling that i was in a world that i could determine, that i would make this world what it was. And i damn made it a good world.
I still have that world, and its still called World1.

I miss the old days of a simple server with your friends, people just building stuff. I guess I'm getting old - stuff is getting too complicated ^^ Or maybe I was just out of the loop for too long. Either way, patch's almost here Should be 1st August or so, right?

August 1st, yes. And my server is all about building stuff with your friends!

It just happens to have mods as well.

Oh, i remember hosting a server for a few friends, then we would spawn alot of stuff, and just build random tnt cannons, planned on building a village, only built 3 things, never finished anything but made an awesome world full of nice stuff, amazing my friends with mystical commands that i just read from the bukkit thread about essentials....
Good times.

Note 3:  Yesterday, I went into a friend's copy of minecraft and I replaced the sound for opening a chest* with the sound of the creeper fuse activating.

* I'm not sure if this is in the default game or not.
