This is mod talk so I wont continue it. Lets just say I've run into some issues using the two together which will requires some more testing and possibly an update on one or the other's part.

Now I know most people here have had bad experiences with Survival games in the past, but can someone help me make the Island I want for the map? I don't know how to do it myself and MC edit is too ungodly slow for the kinda thing I want.

I thought that was fixable by leaving the world and coming back. I have both and it does lag horribly, but quitting then joining back to reduce lag, along with leaving the world and coming back to it fixes that problem.

The technic launcher has a voxelbox modpack in it, never used it myself but heard it's good for these landscaping things.

   The VoxelBox is a good tool but its a server tool, the Technic launcher is the client side stuff last time I checked and not the good stuff like VoxelSniper. I just setup a bukkit server on my computer to use VoxelSniper so it is possible to use and I could of course be wrong but I don't think so.

This new adventure game mode plus the desert and jungle pyramids and temples with unbreakable blocks makes me suspect more dungeon updates like I mentioned in a recent post.

Except the "listen server" seems to have completely messed up the entire single player game. Everything seems slightly laggy, monsters seem much harder to fight etc.

I've got a mostly set-up coniferous forest/hill/island map of about 1000x1000 blocks, which just needs to be populated with rural house ruins and other custom features. The cornucopia/launcher system is almost done too. I'd really like to see a Survival Games map run right on the forum, because it could be really fun.

I used Terrain Control mod to get the terrain I wanted... It's the successor to PhoenixTerrain Mod, and is pretty powerful. It was also able to create that Dwarrowdelf Subterrane challenge map I made.

The whole cornucopia is a bad idea. It drastically imballances the starting situation to the person with the best access to a good chest. There are only two rational courses of action; flee, or go straight in, loot the easiest-to-access-chest, and move out.

If you flee, you will be hunted down by the guy who looted the lucky chest with steel swords.

If yo choose to loot, one of the following will happen:
- Someone will kill you either before you make it there, or while you're opening a chest.
- You open the chest and find food or armor or some other worthless item.
- You open the chest and find a useful weapon, and then may insta-kill everyone nearby with impunity, then take the armor and food for your own?

It makes the rest of the map redundant. It might as well be a random number generator deciding who wins the best sword, and thus, the game.

   Darn it, Shh you. It took me this long to come up with a really good random number generator and I will not let you ruin it.
