lurking on the minecraft forum there is the redpower mod (announced before) it has coloured glass which lit up with redstone passing through!

Yeah, but the actual light is just normal light. And apparently the way Notch rewrote the lighting code makes it nigh on impossible to actually have coloured light.

Edit: You know... it's always annoyed me that minecraft has 'infinite maps' but only on two dimensions.

Someone should try their hand at an infinite depth mod (and infinite sky I supposed, though that sounds boring) and add in some cavern features like DF has.

There's a Youtube video which shows a big ball of TNT...which breaks the BEDROCK.

Yes it's a mod. Basically it makes a very dark/black mannequin which you can put armor onto and it displays it. It has an option to have the head track you or not.

And no, as far as I know there are no weapon racks but there is a shelf mod which makes shelves so you can display your items.

 Still awaiting their input, but a lot of people are giving Notch grief over handling this poorly.

 No, he's not. From day one he has been super transparent about what is going on and giving his view on the issue. If something happens of note he tweets on it. It's part of why I like the dude.

 Although I honestly just want them to settle this over a game of Quake.
