As cool as all the new advancements are, to be honest I don't feel I'll ever truly enjoy Minecraft properly until it has a surface world with mountain ranges like the Alps or the Andes, with water originating in them deep underground and flowing outwards as rivers to the sea, and then for the same world to have underground cave complexes like this:

Map option mod is awesome. Installing mods was such a hassle before I found a great mod loader that I considered not using it.

Tried out gargamel and escaped the dark spawn cave. This place ROCKS!!!

It was mostly annoying for me because back when I used mods, Minecraft was updating a lot, and I dragged and dropped them JAR's and then whoops I've got a new Minecraft JAR, gotta do that again BUT WAIT black screen because i have to wait 6-7 days for all of my mods to become compatible with the new version.

Yeah, looking back, I think it was the compatibility problems (esp. between mods) that made using them so dang hard for me.

Just realized that in my lava world if the sand I spawn on become gone for whatever reason and I don't replace it with something before dieing I can't survive respawning because I fall straight in lava.

I shall call this creation Lava Sand Hardcore Mode.

How do you make wooden blocks burn forever? I tried putting dirt/cobblestone around the sides of the wood and lighting just the top of it but it always burns out. I I have tried leaving the bottom of th elog clear and covering it.... I can't get it to work.

As i said (in my eaten post), its good that its fixed, because the infinite burning floating logs were a bit ugly any annoying (and happened anytime their was a forest fire in massive numbers)

There's no way this actually exists, but if it did I would play it.

You know, come to think of it, Minecraft's got a lot of flavored tag-like potential. Imagine hunting your fellow users for sport, or vice versa, or a group of players tries to build up a little village while vampire players lurk around trying to eat them.
