Notch might have access to server IP addresses. He might be able to see what servers people are connected to when they get other players skins from minecraft.net. I don't know though.

@Magicnachoz: I was going to respond ingame, but you quit before I could.
Your name wasn't capitalized because you were logging in with it uncapitalized.
Normally, the name verification server would put the capital on for you, since that's what you signed up with.
But with that down, you just log into the server as what you logged into the game with, which in this case is uncapitalized.

Standard names are Yellow, names on planepacked have a different colour every time you log in.

It didn't, the little fireballs don't cause the fires by landing on things, just things adjacent to lava catch fire.

If that's the case than I have quite a mystery of how so many trees near my lava moat are catching fire. Many of them have all their leaves and truck blocks more than 1 block distant from the lava. Maybe they grew and then immediately burned?

Some thing that I have noticed about the map:

 Sand, if unsupported will stay up, but only until you dig some of it, then it is liable to fall, and that means all of it.

Redownload the exe as said earlier, there's actually even a second exe, in case the first one doesnt work.
