I thought apples grew in trees, not chests.

We should get more types of tree, like leaf blocks that have apples on them.
Or more crops.

Or more foods.

Or more foods.

Since there's bread and ham, Notch confirmed that he'll add ham sandwiches.  There's more foods for ya.

You know what I'd like? Something like this...

" = Wheat
o = Apple

In furnace

Apple pie. :o

You mean like:

Because if so, I agree!

That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

It got butchered... I kinda meant like a bowl shape. That seems too intensive. Like the gold apple.

So then,
This:

Or,

?

Either way I like it, though wheat isn't too hard to get a hold of.

Or maybe that gives you an Uncooked Apple Pie, and then you put it in the furnace for 4 steps and out comes an apple pie.

And then you have to right click on a surface to let it cool for 4 more steps, then you get an edible apple pie.

A poured bucket IS a spring. But if two springs are adjacent to the same tile then it also becomes a spring, giving you infinite water.
...
I am now confused.

How do buckets hold so much water, anyways? I get 1 cubic meter of water...and it turns to a giant waterfall.

I really love the giant caverns, just exploring them is awesome. Stuff in Minecraft is awesomely pretty in a minecrafty way.
I don't really want killer skeletons in my awesome caverns while exploring though. That would just make it....creepy.

And Notch posted that he tweaked it so it should be significantly more difficult. People are compaining how they couldn't even find baddies before, but I don't see how that's possible, unless they covered the land in torches. I've seen plenty of baddies, on normal.

 There was a glitch with the spawning system where people didn't see nearly enough baddies. It was recently fixed.

When you use a bucket, you can only pick up springs, and when you place it, you put down a spring. Yes, It's doesn't make 100% sense that you could produce massive waterfalls with a bucket-ful of water or lava, but it's fun, and much easier to create things with. What Dragnar is saying, is that, if you you dig a 2x2 hole and fill any 3 of the blocks you took out with water, it would become an infinite source of water springs. That does not, however, work with lava.

Also, Just like the Terrain generator is always getting tweaked, so too is the mob spawning stuff. Sometimes it gets to where there are practically no mobs, some times it's where there are way too many.

Huh, this tweak has done the opposite for me.
Found a giant cave system on hard, completely deserted.
It was rather underwelming

It's weird. I died shortly after the update came out today, and there were plenty of mobs in the cave I died in, but since the updates that came after that, I saw absolutley no mobs in the cave system, and Only one skeleton outside.

Ah well.

A zombie managed to appear in my mine, despise all the lights.

But on better news, I have a glass bathtub filled up with infinite water. But I'm still looking for enough lava, only found one spawner so far.
