When mining comes along, I propose that the only way for the asteroid mining team, and the main station crew to communicate, is by means of a two-way console, as in, radios do not work.
This way, if there was a horrible disaster on the main station, IE, rogue AI is killing everyone, or vise versa, IE, we awoke a giant alien life form and it is eating us oh god please help oh god we are now slaves to the master, then they can't get that message across the radio, they would have to use the console.
The rest, well, if you've ever played any space horror game ever, should know how that works out. (Lets send a team to find out what happened to the other station. I'm sure the Coms disk is just out of alignment.)

The mining mini-station should be equipped with just the bare minimum, tiny snack bar, maybe a sleeper, very simple stuff like that. I think that would be awesome.

Don't you DARE remove the prison. Prison is awesome.

Prison station is kinda very useless.

make shuttle work and I'll promise to use prison station.
I like it, and it is a good way to get rid of criminals without having to kill them.

Also, is there going to be a server soon?

I think any criminal would prefer to be killed than sent to the prison shuttle, since there isn't exactly a prison shuttle crew, so its really just him, locked in a room, by himself, in an empty station. If he's dead, he can ghost and watch the round.

well, of course I wouldn't send them there alone.. that is just cruel. but in long extended games, iwth lots of people, having a second station might be very useful to keep order and give jobs.

The prison station, and its facilities, are worth something. Why not incorporate them in to Centcom station, using it for both? ((Even a bridge in the interim..)) That would free up the shuttle.
Hell, if you really wanted dedicated prison transport, and the shuttle/existing pods just wont do, beg for a few more pods attached to the brig. Those pods, with luck, could even be aimed at individual Centcom prison cells for unaccompanied delivery.

The prison station is just a bad idea, overall. It needs to be wiped, put something cool there instead.  Like an actual, functioning, centcom station.

The prison does function just fine. It even has genetics, engineering, and security.
