I'm thinking the station would be piled high with bodies at that point. How about every say, minute. Ghosts get the ability to interact with objects for 5 seconds, like poltergeists.

It would allow objects to float and such things, also allowing ghost-player interaction other than ghostly whispers.

Or maybe each minute, every ghost gets 5 "ghost points", up to a maximum of 50.
They can become physically manifest by spending one GP, and they further lose another every step they take, every second of inactivity, and every click they make on an object. If they run out or return to being a ghost, any items held are dropped. They only have the two hands for carrying.

There could be some pretty nifty things for ghosts to do, but there's so much on mah list =(

Then how about a "ghost lounge", as an isolated room on the maze-level with very little in it, except some decorations and the ability for ghost players to teleport to/from at any time.

Also, an admin-only noclip mode that sets the player's density to 0, if there isn't one yet.
Naturally, it is announced to everyone/all the admins.

Just so you know, large update in the makings, including atleast atmos fix/rewrite and viruses.

You should tie in ghosts to the Chaplain perhaps.  Ghosts can run through something similar to the maze, and in the center is one special tile.  The ghost can say something when on that tile and the Chaplain will be able to hear it.  Once the ghost speaks, it is teleported to a different part of the maze.  You can leave the maze at any time to go back to the "ghost lounge" and spy on the living, but if you return you'll start at an entry point again.

At least the Chaplain would have a purpose.

How about giving the chaplain ways to do something like, er, "prayers", which can be used to listen to the dead, summon spirits(ghost with glowing bodies), etc.

It shouldn't be something character-intrinsic, but maybe some kind of ghost-detector device that the Chaplain has access to that can be used to find/listen to ghosts.

yes, i noticed. last time, i couldn't even start toxin's heater. gas disappeared faster than i could pump it in.
