Is it okay if I smash the goblins to make the juice with an apple?

Fixed that for ya.

You see, booze is a parasite. It lives off dwarves and compels them to dig into the ground so as to create massive defences to protect it's self. It really shouldn't be called dwarf fortress, Booze fortress would make much more sense.

I always feel like I'm cheating when I assign the children jobs.

So I either enable all the Hauling/Cleaning/Health Care Jobs to ensure a tidy fortress, or...

(Not with the DM utility.  Only "jobs" that you could select in the labor sub-menu.

You can train their attributes, but not set them to spar.)

I would love to put my children and my nobles to work but I consider it an exploit so I don't do it.

EDIT: I just thought of something. You guys are exploiting the Dwarf manager utility to cause an exploit in the game in which children are ... exploited.

You guys are worse than Hitler!

Also as a note gies; i had an awesome idea once. Make all my children Fish! They could run out and fish from the harmless nearby brook and get me some useful turtles and food as well as getting out from under foot, it was a win-win situation.

Then all 4 were snatched by Goblins in the space of about 10 seconds.

Now my childrens just haul and build stuff :P

Since I successfully manage an actual genocide within all my adventurer-world almost inevitably when I get bored, I'm strangely at peace with that.
