Repair: Ship Weapons feels more relevant in this case I think.

I pilot the ship near the ship Frelock is on and start firing at the pirates.

Wait, is there a new frigate attacking us?  Or were those last shots just the frigate's last, poorly executed attempt at hurting us?

If that particular fighter is still around, I attack it once more, aiming for the bridge to finish it off.

If it's gone, I'll use my engineering skills to fiddle with the cannon, attempting to increase its energy output.
There was only one ship that attacked you if I remember rightly, it just asploded due to your attack.

I'm going to attempt to use the databank to research the pirates in the area.

Go onto the ship, and patch up anyone who needs it. If nobody needs it, try to make myself useful.

I'll remain on the ship, trying to fix the scanner so it is less likely to return bad results.

Sorry I had company over the other day. I have quite a bit to do so I may or may not get a turn up today.

... I hate to say this but I don't know if I can really continue this game. I want to, but I've got an AP test this week and a writing project as well as an art show. This game is also proving to be extremely tedious for me to update.

So I guess I will put this on hiatus for awhile, unless someone else wants to run it. In the future I might try a different system to run this sort of setting as RTD does not seem to work too well for what I wanted to do.

Sorry guys.  :-\

Not that I can see, I've still got my Master of Orion II game going (although very slowly) and I haven't had time to figure out a system to use. RTD just didn't really click with me and didn't model what I had in mind in terms of gameplay. Basically it allowed a bit too much freedom.

Ya know Lear. It IS Summer.

Some people, during the rest of the year, can find the time for an update during the week.

Most people, during the summer, have all the time in the world.

Don't know if its the same with you, but come on. Do you have ANY time at all on your hands?

If you want a system, you could always use the standard D20. Or even D6. Drop the RTD if you don't like it, and return to comparing skill rolls.

I have an open house to prepare for, college to prepare for, working for my dad, and I've gotta find an apartment so I can move out. What I do have left I usually spend hanging out with friends.

That said, I might consider giving this another go if (in addition to some extra time and motivation) I had someone to manage the statuses of players and ships (much as SHAD0Wdump does for Jackrabbit's rtd) as that took roughly the same time as the turns themselves.

If you want a system, you could always use the standard D20. Or even D6. Drop the RTD if you don't like it, and return to comparing skill rolls.
I might try d20 but I still need to come up with a few aspects of the game to put in a few limits so the next game doesn't end up like the last.
