Adding the DF Wiki to Firefox

I figured I'd post this here as well. It's modding and it's DF related, it's just not modding DF :)

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, and I finally did the single google search necessary :p

1. download http://www.mediafire.com/?z20t8ij3e0s
2. unzip the files to Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
3. restart firefox
4. ???
5. profit

or alternatively make a file called whateveryouwant.src in the searchplugins folder and paste the following into it in notepad:

 name="Dwarf Fortress Wiki"
 method="GET"
 action="http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Special:Search"
 queryCharset="utf-8">
 <input name="search" user>
 <input name="go" value="Go">
</search>

and if you want an image, make it 16x16 and named the same as the whateveryouwant.src file, except .gif or .jpg

Graphics sets should provide an almost endless supply of these ^_^

When i browse to the DF wiki site and click on my search bar, i get "Add 'Dwarf Fortress Wiki (en)'".

I added it that way a couple months ago. :-\

yeah, i'm an idiot. i've searched for such a function for ages but it only shows up when you're at the site. goddamn, why would it hide the option and not just gray it out like every other menu >.>

You could do that or, y'know.. Add it to that bar of instant-access buttons.

To be honest, I've used the wiki for two years and never noticed that option until a couple months ago.
