We've had 100 pages (default paginf, 15 posts per page) in the last 24 days or so. I predict we get a new release when we hit 700 pages!
If I had a too lo extract the information, I'd plot the replies in this thread as a function of time. Are we posting more closer to the release? I'd think so, but on the other hand I've only been here since October, I think.

Hey, at least he was dedicated enough to actually use all the paraphernalia of the joke.

Who knew Spirits of Fire were so playful?  I'm stuck imagining them as Of Mice And Men style manchildren (er, demonchildren) who love playing with surface dwellers, but are incognizant of why they always burst into flame.

That's the first time I've heard of that interpretation Aqizzar. I've always thought everyone thought of them as demonic hands and face that were suspended in midair by a tangible cloud of fire that flies and burns everything just by being near it.

Oh I'm sure they look like that.  I'm just pondering why they would appear hostile yet also frolicsome.

Speaking of which, didn't Toady explain how the new Description system will apply to creatures besides Dwarves?

This makes me realise, we have Fire Men, Magma Men, and Spirits of Fire already. I wonder how like they are in looks.

Personally I've always imagined firemen and sof being vaguely human-shaped columns of flame, and magma men being a magma core with a hardened crust keeping it together.
