Monster adventurers?
« on: December 29, 2008, 12:22:38 am »

I keep seeing these people saying that they're going around as monsters, an orc, a dragon, and other things. How do people do this?

We need a sticky for questions like this. They've been answered hundreds of times.
In the entities raw, add a new entity with a name different from the rest.
Under that, add a creature tag for the creature you want, and the [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE] tag. This lets you play as a Play Now! as the creature of your choice.

Now to add to this thread i'll review certain major monsters and their contributions to adventure mode. I'll start with megabeasts, go to semi-megas and then demons, chasm creatures, magma cratures and lastly roaming creatures. I won't list animals, just 'monsters'.

Warning: LOOOONG post. I'll put each section in spoiler tags.

Tried a few different things and what this guy said but it won't work. Anybody willing to explain it?

In the current version of the LEGO mod, minifigures are a bit overpowered.  You can play them in adventure mode.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

Actually, the desire to do what Jebraltix wanted to do is what introduced Bohrok to the LEGO mod.  When I first made them, they were unstoppable juggernauts.  I weakened them before releasing the mod, however.

Running amok as a beak dog is actually pretty fun. It's got a decent bite, and it can wield weaponry and wear armor!

Wield weapons AND wear armor? Well armor I can understand. Goblins with bits of scrap hanging off them? It would also be cool if you could armor horses. Then it would be kinda like those Men at Arms you have to take down when humans siege you mounted. But weapons? Hmm...interesting.

Edit:

For that matter, it would be nice if you could have mounted combat! Those stray horses would have a use then.
