Isn't that redundant?

Drillers accidentally hit a pocket of molten rock underneath a working geothermal energy field in Hawaii

Under a geothermal energy field?  No freaking DUH they hit a pocket of magma. ::) That's why the ground is good for geothermal energy plants.

Well, the Chinese are more technically capitalist communists, with a bit of terrorism on the side.  Then you have Cuba (communism)
and every other country in the world that doesn't give the U.S. cheap oil, I mean terrorists.

Also, we, the experienced magma users, should help these scientists by providing them with detailed plans on how to properly utilize this hot, red, molten gold.  Also, we should start the 'mail the kittens' donations fund.

It's only common in DF because volcanoes aren't deadly unless you fall in and Dwarves have a sixth sense for underground features.

Heh I was just checking here to see if someone had made a topic about it already =)

In real life you never have an open air magma vent, it's always beneath the earth.  I can't imagine our dwarves going down 2.5km, that sounds pretty deep to me!

You can allow or stop your dwarves from eating these mushrooms, but it's entirely optional and doesn't turn Dwarf Fortress into Dwarf hookah-smoking pad.

They should channel the magma out in the ocean and make an obsidian highway to the US.
They can smooth it and engrave cheese on the stuff aswell!
