This is better than TV. Mainiac and Il Palazzo are now my prime time entertainment.

2. Wrong! Because, you know, I wouldn't have thought about taking a supply of food from the bloody ARBORIUM that I occupied, right? Once again you show poor judgement and assess the situation wrongly.

You mean the food I bloody captured from you?  That food?

1. Yeah, I've got every reason to, because, you know, you undermine me in every way.

I "undermine" you by going to war to stop you from invading my planets.  That really so unreasonable of me...

This is better than TV. Mainiac and Il Palazzo are now my prime time entertainment.

Glad to be of service!

I told you where I got the food. If you still think I instead "invaded", then you're BLOODY CRAZY!
And I. Did. Not. Invade. Your. Planets!!!(well, except for Kish, of course)
You are the insane invader, you arrrrre. You! TYez yooui... (Il palazzo suffers a mental breakdown and a heart attack combined)

was it dramatic enough?

Eh, I'd give it a 6.5/10. That said, it's still plenty entertaining :P
Personally I'm still getting used to Nova... I've been playing mostly Hyperion lately. Soo much harder to keep a sufficient amount of food for cities/units now...

Screw your bump, I was on vacation.  Three things, now that I'm done.

One, why would the AI turn down a tech trade, but give me free money?

Two, does actually controlling a planet's palace do anything of practical importance?

Three, I'm not afraid to admit when I'm scared.  Mainiac has now surpassed me for highest score, which has been skyrocketing despite him not holding any office.  M, Palazzo, you two were supposed to be thorns in his side.  What the crap guys?

1. your vacation endend on monday, get back to work! People are watching this show, can't let them down, can we?
2. it's the way of AI. It's just what it does for life.
3. lets you gather taxes from a planet. Changes colour of a planet on the map. Nothing more.
4. Oh, we'd love to, I'm sure! And it would be quite easy, if not for somebody just sitting there, not doing anything to help.

Re: Emperor of the Fading Suns PBEM turn 53 - outrageous!

OUTRAGEOUS!
Li Halan scum, with complete disregard for imperial senate's decision, attacked the al-Malik Noble on Malignatus!

After repeatedly being attacked, his forces destroyed or routed, Sir Robin found himself alone, only the supply train and a few grizzled bodyguards left at his side. Yet he himself survived unsratched(oh brave, brave sir Robin!).
In the face of such a blatant disregard for Galactic laws and code of chivalry, the house al-Malik calls upon the Fleet to execute punitive action against Chi Kao's forces on Malignatus. We call upon the Eye to provide targets for Aqizzar's battleships.
While we hope for one of our kin to survive this adversity, we fear that the relentless attacks will continue and his fate might be sealed. Still we are preparing to move our forces to this Icy planet to try and rescue him. Sending an unarmed transport would be a suicide, as the Li Halan is obviously going to disregard any calls for ceasefire. Thus we're assembling an escort fleet as well.

turn done.

Actually, we specifically refrained from putting the so called noble from al-Malik in the slightest bit of danger.  Believe us, if we wanted him dead, he'd be dead, as evidenced by the fact that we slaughtered every one of the mongrel dogs about him.

You gonna mail me the save?

What I'm saying is that I have restrained myself so far out of deference to Aqizzer's wisdom.

However my overtures for peace result in you spitting in my face.  So I'm not feeling motivation to continue to restrain myself.

Oh, don't give me that crap. You just were lucky enough and missed him every time you attacked the stack. Then you probably thought that you might just be able to capture him on the next turn.
Now tell me I'm not right.

The nova rule:
22. If playing against a computer-controlled House, you may not land combat units on any planet it controls (ie a planet shown in its colour on the star map) until the turn after you go to war with it.

What all is considered combat unit?
