Apparently in the new chapter of the DBZ Super manga, Goku and Vegeta get so tired of saying Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan over and over that they just decide to call it Super Saiyan Blue from now on.

Oh, oh, OH! I finally know what Shokugeki no Soma reminds me of: Gamble Fish! One of my favorite gambling mangas of all time.

Lets count the similarities:

>Young Male Protagonist
>trained from birth in his highly specialized trade
>has a vendetta with his absent father
>enrolled into an extremely prestigious school
>which is exaggeratedly huge and powerful
>where he participates in grandiose displays of competition
>with beautiful, brilliant women
>one of whom is the School Headmaster's daughter
>who is himself a muscular, beefy bodybuilder.
>and as the series continues, there is an inordinately improbable amount of T n' A
>and each defeated woman becomes part of the MC's growing harem.

All we need is the Green Goblin and Barack Obama and it'll be a 1:1 identical comparison!

But it's no wonder I just naturally love SnS, Gamble Fish lives on in my heart as one of those mangas I feel should have been made into an anime by now, and the fact that it hasn't is blatantly unjust.

Woah Logos just went full Kotomine with Subete this week. Went from wimpy mostly ineffectual rival who cries about MC stealing his girlfriend all the time to freaking THIS while taunting MC about how his obsession with being a savior requires that the world always be in danger. He even tells him to rejoice!

Checking out Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru, the new anime about the girl who's a bone specialist. I'm really liking the artstyle, and the show seems to have a focus on the right elements, without a lot of the fluff you get in other shows.

Just watched episode 1 of the new show Anitore! EX. Turns out the show is a moe excercise video series (episodes are 4 minutes long, medium fanservice levels).  It's been done before though, with the "hinako" series of OVAs (much more ecchi though: hinako is an extremely bouncy fitness trainer). I think the "sleeping with hinako" video was the best in the series. It's worth a look just to go "well, huh, they made that thing". Still, better narrative than Naruto.

That's about as clear as sarcasm gets. It was a nice shot of nostalgia for a little while, but then the fucking [EXPLETIVE DELETED] creepy-ass, obnoxious, obsessive fans ruined it by association (Like Homestuck, except Homestuck was never good. ^_shots) and it got boring because... y'know, '90s nostalgia cartoons aren't actually any more entertaining than the original things were when not viewed through a meter of rose-tinted glass.

Man most of Dragon Ball Super was really boring and not very funny with a few exceptions here and there (But for the most part it is that "I" didn't find it funny. I know Dragon Ball Super's first arc is basically a self-parody of Dragon Ball Z)

But this latest episode MUST be hilarious! Hercule's basic bastardization of the first arc? This is going to be glorious!

I mean HECK a lot of the stuff that happens in Dragon Ball Super is pretty funny when said outloud.

For example Videl is the first 100% human to go super saiyan.

It is supposed to read like bad fanfiction... and I kind of love it for that. I just wish I enjoyed it more.

BOOO!!!! You lied to me Dragon Ball Super! I thought this was going to be a hilarious movie episode where Hercule basically retells the entire events except where he makes himself the hero. That was going to be soo funny but noo...

Ok so the episode was 50% wasted opportunity and 50% really funny.
