If it's the fetish in particular, that's almost entirely limited to things like brocon/siscon fantasy fiction and roleplaying. But it's an odd sort of fetish, in the sense that it's entirely situational, and thus it's almost impossible to actually act out any fantasy. Also, the fictional part of it is completely different to the actual thing. In e.g. Kiss X Sis anime, there are two cute sisters who like the step-brother. If someone watches that and thinks the girls are cute, that doesn't mean they're into the idea of incest. Hey, they're not your own sisters.

We're talking specifically about where the feelings are reciprocated, though. If someone's being coerced or forced or whatever then duh, of course it's wrong, but that kind of thing is by no means exclusive to sibling love.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, but the problem is that non-fictional incest often as not is some combination of statutory rape as well as an abuse of a position of trust and authority. The latter in particular is also why professor-student, boss-employee, direct military superior-subordinate, &c. relationships are problematic.

@NQT: Have you seen Fate/Zero? I think it's pretty good at those things.

@Others: Please stop talking about romancing monsters, robots and siblings

I rewatched Akagi when I was reminded of it by Neon talking about it a while ago. I understand Mahjong even less than I did when I watched it the first time through, but that doesn't stop me at all from enjoying Akagi's super Sue-ness.

The match has been going, in the same room, for 14 years.

Randomly opened Crunchyroll to see what the Anime Season was looking like after all the anime I was watching had finished. I wasn't interested in this one as most were over the top anime I had already read as Manga or was just not interested in...
Turns out I was wrong...

Himouto Umaru-chan

This manga was worth watching as an Anime, so I was so on that!!!

If Josh says so, sure.

Can anyone think of any good romance/action hybrids?

It's ok when it pertains to a certain show, but once it drags out into a multi-page discussion involving history books and biology and real world science and Westermark Effects, please consider picking it up and moving it to a new thread.

For example, it's OK to talk about Fire Emblem 4's story, which has alot of incest in it involving members of its fictional royalty. It becomes increasingly NOT OK if that discussion springboards into how actual real life royalty banged knobbers together til it went out of style and nature DQ'd them from royal office.

The funny thing is that people get enhanced by incest a lot of the time in anime.

Like in Fire Emblem a SUPER incest baby was actually a demigod because of all the incest.

But that boils into Anime's somehow fascist-esk uber-race undertones.

Erg, that's a bit of a touchy combo. The vast majority of it ends up sinking into the harem-esque fan service type of show.

That said I'd suggest Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works if you haven't seen it yet. And if you are willing to look at it the right way (i.e., as Asuna/Shinon focused instead of Kirito focused) then Sword Art Online qualifies as well despite its many other flaws.

As long as the fan service isn't absurd, ridiculous, and distracting by getting WAY focused on over the actual plot (like DxD) I don't really care too much. I've read Fate's visual novel so I'm not really interested in that anime, and I've also seen SaO, though not its newest season (which is supposedly not that good?)
