Nyaa.eu has a Fate/zero Materials book up.  It actually has even more extra content, yaaaaaaaah.  I feel like the content will never end.  Especially with all the fan art coming out thanks to the anime airing.

I've been mostly playing Kagetsu Tohya and The Haunted Turnabout right now though...

I haven't even watched episode 8 yet.  I hope this doesn't turn into what happened with Higurashi, Umineko, Fate/stay night...uh oh.  I just realized, I've never finished the anime adaption of anything.  That is, if there is a source material.  Index too...

That is horrible.  I'm so impatient.

Although I suppose if I hold out on Mirai Nikki I should be alright.  And there's always FMA and Death Note but I admit I haven't finished the manga of either because that was back when I was even more of a loser and only watched adaptions.

Did it ever explain where the hell he went during his hiatus? Because I can only imagine an evil supervillain kidnapped him to exploit his genius in creating schemes and yappy mouths, and he's only now been rescued.

I read a rumour somewhere that it was to further his own gambling/ poker career.  I kindof hope it's true.

Hey all, quick question. I'm no anime buff, so I haven't seen many of the popular (or even unpopular) series. Where should I start? I've heard considerable praise for Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, and Death Note, but I have no idea which to watch first. What do you guys think?

I'm looking for something with complex, believable characters, good action and suspense, and (most importantly) antagonists with concrete goals ( no cliched, Destroy Everything or Rule the Universe villains.)

I would've recommended Death Note considering you mentioned it, but the main character is pretty much a "Rule the World"-type of villain so...

Code Gaess season 1 and 2 are pretty good for newcomers.

If you're willing to delve into classics, check Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, or the original Starship Troopers anime. So classy, so stylish.

Fullmetal Alchemist is pretty awesome.  It's the perfect series to start with.

And about Fullmetal Alchemist, there's two series'. There's FullMetal Alchemist, and there's Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It can confuse newcomers because at first glance they seem to be the exact same thing, but while I think Brotherhood is vastly superior in every way, some people hold that the original series is still worthwhile watching.

Brotherhood is of generally better quality (in my opinion), but the original is good if you've read the manga and want a different plot.

Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop have all of those. Well, Bebop's main villain is a little on the nihilistic rule the world side.

Honestly I still retain that a Anime doesn't have to be exactly like its Manga.

I've watched plenty of animes that were really good that differed greatly from the source material. (ok not plenty... but still)

Fairy Tail is a good one, unless you're sickened by fan-service and yaoi. Although most anime have excessive fanservice and yaoi anyways since Japnese make them. Did you know that drawing boobs without any coverage in Japan is totally accepted?

If you want a really good one with a non-nihilistic Rule thy world villain; I suggest Gundam 00 because of its many plot twists which doesn't let you recognize who's the true antagonist.

Oh, and how can I forget my all time favorite anime of all time? Future Boy Conan is an old series, but it dedicates to animation the most amazing adventure that I've literally ever seen. It's a touch on the obscure side, but you'll be glad to have added it to your anime repertoire early.
