So I came up with a really fitting title today.

"The Melancholy of Chise" for Saikano. Except instead of the main character being like Haruhi where she's really outgoing and rambunctious, Chise embodies melancholy.

I think the concept is quite fitting.

I'm having trouble finding anything good to watch. I just finished watching Elfen Lied, and... Well, I can't find anything to top that.

Suggestions?

Spice and Wolf if you like business talk,
Bakemonogatari if you want a slightly unhinged, dialogue heavy harem anime, with a slightly odd take on the harem genre,
Code Geass if you like Noodle People watching intricate plans of the main protagonist, Spinzaku-fu, robots, fanservice, and slightly magical powers,
Death Note if you like the above, minus Noodle People robots, Spinzaku-fu, a bit less fanservice, and a bit more manipulation and evil.

There are others I could recommend, but those are the ones that came out of my mind first, so yeah.

Death Note, one of the more serious Animes.
There are however a few comical relief characters.
I do recommend that one.
Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop are two recommendations that are must see.

Really depends on what you like, and what you liked about Elfen Lied.

He needs a balanced diet. To counteract the saddening elements of Elfied Lied, I recommend Godannar, if he doesn't mind outrageous fanservice and awesome robots with badass characters, that is.

I'm almost certain Darvi already knows Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright because he's reacted to me saying it like three times already.

Turnabout Scapegoat is a fangame and from what I've played of fangames they're amazing.  Plus Leafsnail played it anyway too...

In any case, if you ever do finish Ace Attorney Josh then it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll like Umineko as well.  It's in the same vein of things and I can't really see why somebody would like one but not the other.
