I am waiting until I see a few more episodes of Cardfight Vanguard before I do a full review.

I will say that it is very aggresive marketing. Afterall the Cardgame does all but cure cancer in the main protagonist (and for all I know... it DID)

At least I know I will be so psyched when Rebuild 3.0 comes out.

ANGELS MAN
ANGELS EVERYWHERE

ITS LIKE A FUCKING ANGEL NATURE RESERVE

As long as they're not big statues of angels covering their eyes. *twitch* Oh wait that's a totally different thing.

Finally picked up the Hayate no Gotoku show again. It's pretty sad that I've got how many volumes of the Manga and they've yet to catch up to where I am in the first season. -.-;

The manga is worth it.
So, so very worth it.

. . . *writing down on list of stuff to buy posthaste*

Guess I'll keep myself sated for now with the Kino's Journey LN's.
And watch the OVA Hellsing Ultimate. Sticks close to the maga.

And yeah, Sir Integra is awesome.
That character actually succeeded in making smoking look cool.

Also, Anderson's psychotic religious rants are great.
Really need to rewatch it in Japanese.

It's really the unusal and well done characters that make the anime.

Well.  Read all 84 chapters of the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga.  The author is starting to use the same chapter number every issue which is kinda annoying so the scanlators have to letter them.  Either way, I'm pleasantly surprised about what things were changed.  Especially for the newest chapter currently, which was awesome.  I can't believe this manga is still on-going when it started in 1994, soooooooo many hiatuses.

Fun fact: many of the characters are expies from his earlier, pornographic works.

. . . This explains so much more than I even want to think about.

I'll also add that Female Vampire whoever x Integra was a nice surprise.  As was her stabbing herself.  Most excellent.

Started watching Ergo Proxy, I'm only four episodes in.
Like it so far, has a nice setting and theme to it.

I remember when I used to watch good things.

How is the music?

Fitting. But all the masterpieces are reserved for the end.

Huh, that's... Well...
Interesting. Better not follow up on this before it ruins the show for me.

Pechhhh.  I have to say that the overall plot ending for the show just felt disorganized and kind of... yeah, I can definitely see why people didn't like it so much.  The last moment or so was quite good, though, if rather character-derail-ish.

Hmm.  I really liked the musical choice, which I think was unusual but oddly fitting.  EXCELLENT voice acting choices.  This is the second deep-voiced voice actress I've ever heard (after, of course, the Major from GitS), and it was a really pleasant surprise.  I think I'll give an additional 10/10 score there just for creepy laughter quality and frequency.

Great character designs, of course.  I hate to say this, but I would've been a happier camper with more blood splatters happening.  And, eh, more clothing damage >_>  I ended up a bit confused by why someone who can't regen clothing ends up, say, being shot multiple times with no damage whatsoever.

Well, anyway.  Good use of an afternoon, even if I probably wouldn't recommend this particular incarnation of Hellsing as the Best Anime Ever.

(Oh, and finally--have some Wakamoto)

Hey does anyone other them me uttarly HATE the "He wasn't trying" retrospect done in anime?

It annoys me to no end... it is basically used for a "Yes we know he was defeated before but he wasn't trying so you still have to take him seriously"

In fact in one anime they actually managed to use it TWICE in a span of two episodes (Dang it Yakkate Japan!!!)

Here is a game!

The worst "Actually that time I wasn't trying" Moment you can think of in an anime.

The rule of thumb is they MUST have been defeated at the time. This isn't a "I wasn't trying" and then they kick their butt in the very same battle. This is the person was defeated but "he wasn't trying" and thus still needs to be taken seriously when the battle happens again.
