I just finished Liar Game S2, and I suppose I have to alter some of my previous statements about the show:

Wow, I was watching anime and I saw one japanese character

I couldn't help but think to myself: "Wow, if this character was drawn by an American, they would accuse him of racism"

Also... it looks like I am going to have the 13 episode Sudden plot reveal... or rather... I watched this for 13 episodes and the last two are going to be ALL the plot.

It just goes to show that you can get quite a bit of filler no matter how short a series is.

Also this is probably the first show I seen where I have to say it sort of lacks a good villain. It has tons of villains but they are either lame, TOO ambiguous, or they just give up.

I just finished the Liar Game grand finale movie. Pretty damn good if I say so myself.

I mean, it involved an original game that wasn't in the manga at all, and while Yokoya was in the movie, he wasn't a player in the game.

Still, pretty damn good.

Is there a term out there for something that isn't what I call "Emotionally appropriate"

I guess I'd call it emotional backlash... but rather a show where the scenes from one to the next never share the same emotional tone.

It was one of the reasons why I hate Glee (despite loving musicals... I hate Glee)

This Anime I am starting is showing signs of having this exact problem... I'll keep watching.

Why must the show you watch be a mystery Neon?

Can we play hangman for the title atleast?

Yes but if I said I got that impression entirely from the title sequence... I'd get some big words about not judging a book by its cover.

Besides...

A!

So I started an interesting series that I just so happen to have stumbled upon. It's called One Outs, and follows an interesting idea:

The show is about baseball, but more importantly, it's about prodigal pitcher Tokuchi Toua who arranges an interesting bargain for his salary, where instead of receiving a set salary, he earns 50,000 dollars for every batter he outs, and has to pay 500,000 dollars for every point he gives up.

I've only watched about four eps so far, but it's quite interesting, inspite of me not knowing a thing about baseball! Basically, Toua is an amazingly good pitcher, but he has to contend with his team's owner, who is a money grubbing penny pincher, and is looking to purposefully sabotage his own star pitcher just so he doesn't have to pay him as much.

I look forward to watching more episodes, as it's caught my attention thus far.

There is definately an A

I am finding that the synopsis of the show is a bit more interesting then the character. He is probably one of the few non-mute characters who are 50 times more interesting... NOT speaking.

Actually the detective aspects of the show don't seem to coincide as to what about its description attracted me. Afterall it is about a man (or kid) who is quiet all the time and cannot really socialise but found a way to cope. That in it of itself could have sold me. Him being a detective is almost like interfering in what could be a story about a kid/man just learning how to live day to day and gain relationships despite his ineptitude.

Also I really like nice quiet characters... Hinata being my favorite Naruto character (with Kabuto being second... too bad the later series REALLY just stomps on them)

I think my favorite part about Puella Magi Madoka Magica is this commercial that plays at the half way point every episode.

MORNING RESCUE

EDIT:
Alright so after watching the first three episodes I can really say the story has actually started now.  That was a really good ending in episode three and I can see why people like it so much this last season.  I'll continue to watch Madoka Magica.

Is what I am currently watching. Episode 2.

It also has used possibly the most overused detective show device... Though there have been worse. There was this one (with a Q in it) where almost every single freeken murder was one of these (Locked room mystery)

Also what is it about detective series that makes people such jerks when they are talking behind a future murderer's back?
