Only the two first seasons of Slayers are good, the third and fourth go downhill, sadly enough.  However, the first two are awesome enough that I recommend them to everyone I can.  There's a bunch of Slayers movies, quite a few involving Lina a few years younger and her adventurers with Naga the Serpent, a rival magician who really needs to put a shirt on.

I watched episodes 23-25 of Fairy Tail today.  It was a lot of fun.  Episode 24 was so sad.

@Slayers discussion:

I looked around the manga for a bit, and apparently there is no manga version that tells the anime's story. The mangas are like light visual novels that tell of her further escapades.

Wow

I didn't think the Hetalia english dub would be so hillarious... but I am starting to fall inlove with it for all the wrong reasons.

Hetalia's voice is hillarious and almost offensive.

When I saw the dub had a R-rating or whatever I was like "Whaaaa", but most of it just comes from how offensively bad the stereotypes are, hehehe.

Well that and there are still some swear words left in it.

Episode 2 may be my favorite english episode. Listening to Hetalia in english is hillarious to me.

Kinda disapointed with Japan... Prweesed really? (Ok it got a bit better, I was expecting constant usage of broken words)

Also DAMN is Austria's accent/voice sort of... well.. awsome

I'd listen to the dub, but Italy's accent makes me want to kill things.

Then perfect!

Though watching that always leaves me with a lot of questions. Maybe I should find a episode by episode synopsis since often it is hard to see what is a character joke, actual seriotype, or a historical event... and even if you have some idea of what it was, it is nice to see it. For example the Christmas peace actually did happen (not the way the show did it... but still)

I'd go read the original strips, because they have all sorts of notes by them and tend to be a lot more clear than the show is.

Did some research...

Hetalia stars the personifications of countries?!

That's some weird stuff.

I watched the first episode of Gosick which was kinda neat.  I'll have to add this to my list.

The manga, at the very least, is damned good.

It is important to know that they often gloss over events SOO much it can become really tough to actually corelate events to others without something just telling you.

For example you know that everytime China beat up the Axis in the anime? each and everytime? yeah they all happened as seperate and distinct events.

I'd even go as far as dare even a history expert to corelate every single event in the anime to the historical event it is referencing.
