I remember that anime... not the best, and took way too many liberties with Norse mythology in my opinion.  I thought the point of said woman (or girl, she's pretty young right?) was to actually motivate Loki to investigate said mysteries?

how come i face-palm so much when i watch "infinite stratos". I swear that the main characors of theses types of anime are homosexual. The main character of this one is into insest. So one of the girls directly asks him out and he is still clueless. give me a break i only watch harem anime for the art and definately not for the story. I dont care about any of the characters at all except maybe the main guy's friend with the red hair, but only cause he has had the least amount of screen time.

Girl though she is a teenager who may be in her final year or something...

No she doesn't motivate him to go see mysteries beyond the first two episodes. She only drags Loki along so Loki doesn't have to say he will do it.

Yeah I could handle Thor being some sort of Japanese Samurai (at first I accepted it because I thought he picked that form to fit in)... but WOW are the personalities off.

Not just a few of them... but ALL of them (I COULD accept Freyr's personality though. it doesn't take much bending to get that)

So I guess I should mention I've been watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for about three days now and I'm on episode eight.  Not actually a bad show at all.  I like it, but I can see where it gets the hate from.  My most recent one was the baseball episode and that was pretty hilarious.  It reminds me of the Angel Beats! baseball episode actually.  What's with Japan and baseball?!

Try the spin offs. They're awesome, nyoro~n.

So, I'm getting slightly bored and I'm trying to find something to watch over the weekend. Any suggestions? Preferably no long runner (30 episodes or less, definitely no more than 50).

How about One Piece or Inuyasha? Monster is always good to watch through.

I know right? Seems like alot of the more recent animes are the stuff of face-palming, or at least it does to me.

I think you may find out why during the second season?

And yeah, baseball seems to come up a lot.  Probably partly because it's so easy to reach a "you have to get this right or we'll lose the game" situation in baseball, which is nice from a dramatic point of view.

Go with the alternate character interpretation.  It makes more sense anyway.
