Just so I can keep this conversation on topic, what other music anime are there? They don't have to be like K-ON! but need to mostly be about music.

Uh, I only know of two and they're both shoujo romances. Nodame Cantabile and Fullmoon o Sagashite. Haven't seen either.

RahXephon is basically NGE with musical themes instead of religious ones, but it's mostly just a mecha anime.


And well, I meant while strumming chords with the thumb it's more difficult to get the treble strings to sound over the bass strings.

The live-action Nodame Cantabile show is very, very good.  I enjoyed it even though I was watching without subtitles and couldn't understand significant amounts of dialogue.

The Macross series has always been about two things: Giant robots and the magic power of music. Macross 7 especially, since its protagonists are a rock band.

Personally, however, I prefer manly anime for manly men such as myself.

I wanted the 5-string one, but it was out of my price range, so I got 4.
As for the picking, I play bass with my fingers too, I just like the sound of a nice sturdy pick.
