Clayton picks are the rounded triangles.
They may not be the only triangular picks, but they're the best and most popular.
Fender has some ridiculous non-round triangle picks that look more like throwing stars.
I use a Clayton pick.
Can't find my good one, though, so I'm using lighter ones, which are fine for guitar, but shit for bass.

As for the avatar, it's from Touhou, but don't tell anyone.
My previous avatar and my current desktop were drawn by the same guy and I've posted other stuff of his before, so it's possible you're just recognising the art style.

Oh those? I had friend give me one of those once. "You play guitar right? I found this in my house." "Uh, I play fingerstyle." I knew they were bass picks, but I thought they had a French name or something.

I definitely wouldn't be using a light pick for a bass, must be hard to get it to ring out properly.

And for the avatar I think it just reminded me of Momo from Xenosaga. But yeah, I can see how the style is the same now that you mention it.

e: but actually i was thinking it was one of the 108 from suikoden, since it kinda resembles the art style from the first game.

I thought the most popular picks where stubies? Unleass that's just slang for Clayton picks as the description fits.

Also what base do you have? I play a left handed Ibanez GSR200L, without a pick as I'm old fashion and believe bass players don't need silly little picks XD

Played guitare for a bit, electric guitar kinda requires picks as the chords  and shreading destroy'd my nails to smitherines...

Ah, yeah. I'm getting bad flashbacks of shattered nails. It's just been a while since I played an electric.

Strumming is also nice with a pick sometimes. It's easier to get all the strings to ring out.
