You have discovered my one weakness, Vector. The Megaman 2 soundtrack.
I must look into this "JAM Project".
Hurray! Yeah, they're one of the few bands I actually listen to. I haven't found a single lemon in all my wandering through their music, and they've been together for nearly 10 years now :3
The best part is that they're basically the people who managed to stay in the Japanese music industry despite not being very good-looking (they've hit and kept running through middle age), which is basically impossible in a world full of Visual-Kei bands, "idol frenzy," and Gackt.

INUYASHA!
it's about a schoolgirl that finds a portal back to ancient china in the well at her home, and has to find some scattered parts of weird crystals that got scattered all over the earth when she accidentally shot a demon crow that was carrying it. she does this with the help of a slightly evil demon with dog ears who had a magic necklace thrown over him by a priestess so that he falls on his face whenever some-one says "sit". it makes sense in context.
Hrm. No. Any show that has sound effects in the opener gets massive minus points for quality. I liked Ranma because it didn't purport to be anything more than slapstick (I have a lot of the manga, which is significantly better than the anime). Anything that takes itself that seriously and ends up that long and drawn out without any resolution whatsoever is something I can't watch.
There's a reason why I usually don't watch anything longer than 13 episodes, with 26 tops :I I may be a hardcore shonen manga fan, but I can't stand shonen anime.
Maison Ikkoku is good, though.
As for some anime that isn't porn but also isn't childish, I'll have to suggest Kino's Journey, Last Exile, Wolf's Rain, and Haibane Renmei. No time now because I'm about to go midterm myself (twice
), but I'll give some synopses later.
