Oh god, just watched the most recent episode of One Piece. So epic. Soooo much epic on the horizon. Almost makes me want to get up to date on the manga.

It gets better.

You know how most shows build up to an epic climax? Oda appears to be experimenting with just writing a whole bunch of climaxes and taping them together, just to see what happens when you make the entire second half of the series one gigantic climax.

Yeah, I've had enough of the next little bit spoiled (CURSE YOU TVTROOOOOOPES!) to know it's going to explode with awesome. This last episode just got me salivating for it.

What episode is One Piece on now?  I stopped following it a while back, I'm curious how much catching up I'll have to do.  Last I saw was the beginning of the fight between Luffy and Crocodile.

Alot.

We're up to anime ep 442. It was at around this point in the Manga that Oda said he was about half-way finished with the One Piece story.

There's a reasonable chance OP will hit 1000 animoos.

Yeah, what constantly impresses me about Oda is that he either that he plans and foreshadows important plot points way ahead of time, or he is really good at faking it.

I'm afraid I don't know.  Rumor has it that Goku's voice actress never got sick for the 15 years that the show (DBZ) ran.  They must just have incredible energy.
