It says it's an image of a different Adamantine platemail on it.

Of course, this implies that this one is his fort's second - or even third or fourth or Nth - artifact adamantine platemail :o

Basic Value: 4772400☼
Unholy Armok, 4.8 MILLION monies?

Edit: Also, I forgot what the alt-numbers thingy for the ☼ symbol is :-[ .  Can somebody remind me of it?
Nonononono.  No.  Artifacts can have images of themselves.  It's just that using them creates a paradox that crashes the game.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

Are you sure you're looking at the correct part of the description? It actually does have an image of itself on it.

It's the fortress's second artifact adamantine plate mail so far. I listed the fortress's other adamantine artifacts in my earlier post, here.

By the time you finish reading this post, you'll know why.

...I had 6 artifacts in a season once.
I'm not sure how it happened exactly, but they all have images of the previous one, and the first one has an image of itself on it.
In other words, they all have an infinite number of images on them.

This:

Not the fanciest, but the symbolism is just oh so... beautiful.

It's kind of strange, because I have yet to kill any Elves in this Fortress, or on this map (Only in second year on current fortress).

Guess the armourer (now legendary, yay) doesn't like Elves, can't say I blame him! Will have to check next time I play.

Oh, I like the idea of an elf bone trumpet.  Those lanky femurs for the main pipe, and finger-bones for the valves... sweet.

"The Brave Glories" An Inobtanium Doom Hammer

The Greatest Weapon known to dwarf.

For those of you who don't use Sean's mods. Here is the greatest reason ever to use them. Inobtanium does 1200% damage and doom hammers have a base damage of 160 and a critical boost of 4. Tag on a 3x artifact modifier and I can start up the Goblin space program.
For reference:
Adamantium: 500% damage
Battle Axe: 110 Base Damage, No Critical boost

As far as I can tell, nobody knows for certain what the artifact modifier is.
