I don't care too much about the IQ testing stuff, so I don't have any precise value ready for that. So, I leave it to the audience to determine my mental age :P

You got it almost right.  It's:

Although it's now more like this these days:

IQ? Frankly who cares about IQ? Nowadays only 1 thing is what matters: how much money do you have. 
My IQ is surely not high, but I am quite good financially..and this makes me a happy person!

Very rapidly approaching my . . . late '20s here, at the ripe old of 28.

Seems like the sheer volume of mayhem you can cause in so many different ways in DF cuts across ages to some degree.  And yeah, we have the sampling problem of 'who plays DF' + 'who's on the forum' both.

I'm 14, started playing DF 4-5 months ago.
Also, I am quite surprised that so many who are 17 and under plays this game.
I'm pretty sure none of my friends would like it.

I actually am 15, and was intrigued by the large numbers of 17-Under people.  As Habblatic said, I only know one, maybe two people my age who would like this game.  I have to wonder if more people would play if there were real graphics, or if DF would simply be banned in most households due to excessive violence/gore/dismemberment.

I think it's pretty interesting that the younger age groups shot up so fast, and it's only as the poll has been up for a few days that the older age groups have caught up. Seems we can draw one generalization about older DF players- they check the forums less frequently than their younger counterparts.
