Just go with it.

No, both releases were buggy. I've spent the last year building up an appreciation for when the death of a mayor causes a riot that consumes the town.

Has no one else noticed that "one week" from that post correlates with April fool's day?

I dunno. I mean, I'm ready to believe it anyway. But don't go peeing yourselves quite yet.

Last summer, this was a "Christmas release", so at this point I'll believe it when I see it.
But if he doesn't release it, how angry will we all be?  I don't think he'll let donations suffer because of an April fools joke.  It is already a shitty thing for him to do, saying he'll release it on a day that is culturally associated with lies and pranks.  So I'm with you, I'm ready to believe he'll release it.  He's got to understand the consequences otherwise.

Are you serious? How many people out there don't even FREQUENT this forum? (forget that the game is almost unplayable unless you do for a moment). Nah, this is exactly how you set up an april fools joke.

Actually >_>; my estimation of Toady 1 has gone up just from the amount of mind fuckery he has induced by relating it to Apr.1. The level of mindfuckery induced by not releasing it would put him approximately on the level of "Uber Evil" and thus raise my estimation of him even more, even if I loathed him for it XD we'll see.

I still don't get what he means by that, or its relevance to what I said.

I'm hoping it's something good and he hasn't just given me the DF Forums equivalent of the kiss of death.

I suspect it's something to do with the general interchangability of 'bug' and 'feature' in DF.

I don't think people already willing to shell out cash would snatch back their wallets over some April Fool's joke. While I'm not really expecting a "Haha, fooled you!", I won't be surprised if it isn't ready by tomorrow. It'll either be ironed out and ready, or something will come up that needs fixing, and the former is certainly possible.
