Please hurry up Toady, you're driving people insane.

I propose the sending of many Platnuim barrels full of Sunshine to Toady so that he'll keep working at peek efficiancy, Also have someone deconstruct his bed at bedtime

That should do it ^_^

I've seen a few people saying that they don't want to play 40d, because 2010 might be released while they're playing and it would be a waste of time.

People don't realize that "a waste of time" is kind of a philosophical expression.. what in life is NOT "a waste of time"? Are we playing DF to actually gain something(useful) from the experience or are we just playing for the heck of it and for the challanges and tortures that is DF? On the other hand this can be counted as "something useful" to be gained, as in entertainment.. but I think you got my point.. :-)

In conclusion; (*sigh*)
Of course it's a waste of time! And so will the 2010 version be. Our whole god damn lives are a waste of time and matter..

not that I'm bitter or anything..

dude, stop your semi-pr0 babble, and realize that waste of time = lack of FUN just because of engine flaws.
Look onto fallout online to get image.

-1, Eroing, i do not like that kind of posts and people behind it.
it's like ego talk online(i am sooo philosophical, maybe you provide modern GUI update instead?), definitely not constructive input.

(words of df player that DID not lose, EVER)

2k10 fixes so many of the issues

Let's talk about GUI(80x60, items' names cut in to 1/3, STILL? f'up trade screen, etc etc).

How about "lighten up!"?

Take the post for what it is, a joke! If you don't like my sence of humour, fine.. why even care about it in that case?

I really can't see how anyone could be offended by it, honestly.. :-)

Happy hippo hunting!

Quit posting telling people to quit posting then.

Actually mildly on topic, I just don't want to get super invested in a new fortress with the knowledge that I might be able to make a newer, better fortress if I wait a week.

I think this is very appropriate threadromancy, because I frankly have stopped playing at all, awaiting the new version.  Even if it was a false alarm, it was fun to think it was FINALLY done!!!

One week. One week.

Is that confirmed?

Lucky that I will have a busy week coming, and the next one I have more than enough time...  :D

Has no one else noticed that "one week" from that post correlates with April fool's day?

I dunno. I mean, I'm ready to believe it anyway. But don't go peeing yourselves quite yet.

Last summer, this was a "Christmas release", so at this point I'll believe it when I see it.
