Actually, with only 40 wellness it should increase by about a point daily due to increased effect of food.

The point is that if you don't work, you get massive wellness drops because you're friggin' starving to death.

Pillow, you are being paid 2.75 PYG. This is far, far more than you need. You can alternate between q2 food and q3 food. What's more, you can even get more and more skill, which will result in you getting paid more and more. In light of this, is doing nothing and slowly starving to death really preferable?

Is there a penalty for death though? I don't remember any penalty for death in eRepublik...

Pillow_Killer, on your salary, you can afford q2 food, and even q3 food every other day. What is the problem?

I think it's just misunderstanding. Low wellness doesn't prevent you from working (unless it's below 1, I think), it just makes you less productive (which hurts the company, a bit, people like me can more than make up for it). You don't get paid if you don't work, so just do what you can and buy food once you've got the money. Even Q1 food will improve your wellness for a week or so.

For 3 PYG, you can buy 4 Q1 food. By the time you've eaten that, you should be able to buy a Charmin Ultra issue of Q2 food. Check the marketplace as often as you can, and grab the Q2 when it comes up. Q2 food will take you to 100 wellness if you don't train or 50 wellness if you do.

Regardless if you choose to enlist or not, you can easily be a productive citizen so long as you click your buttons every day. The game doesn't have any catch-22s.
