And five guns when we are at war :)

Edit: You need to do something about the profitability though, I could be getting twice as much at some of the other companies and unless they are going bankcrupt they must be doing something we aren't.
You don't really need weapons. :/
Hmmm, I guess they are, because I have no idea how I can maintain profitability. Maybe they can pay you extra while they wait for you to skill up because they have all those 10-skill guys?

Estoy iniciando la produccion en una empresa de armas q3, estarias dispuesto a ayudarme trabajando en ella un tiempo. .
Me gustaria contar con el skill que tienes en manufactura.
Desde ya gracias por tu atencion.
Link a la empresa:

Estoy means "I am", but for location, temporary states (like "I am cold" instead of "I am SOOOOO SMART!"), and some other stuff I forgot. Iniciando is clearly initiating.
...oh, wait, I guess I read the translation below on accident

No weapons means -50%
Q1 weapons means +20%

Big difference there :)

Could just move the organisation to brazil and buy an iron company. If you like I'll pop over and make one, only need another two levels to manage that and I've yet to claim xp for uploading an avatar

I was thinking and it would be funny to me if we could take over Paraguay and turn it into a Communist Paradise, where no one makes a profit yet everyone can afford the necessities. You would have to have a country made up entirely of bay-12 or others who are willing to set aside e-profit for that to work though. Theoretically if your prices were so low due to lack of profit you would be a very influential country since there is a good chance countries would buy what raw materials they can't produce from you and that would affect the whole market. You would be able to make money by making penny profits, like a gas station.

Has that ever been tried in E-republic that anyone knows of? I'd imagine it would be practically impossible but it's interesting to imagine. It might also require a mathematician/mathemagician.

I would imagine that such a situation would quickly draw in speculators to build manufacturing companies, given how inexpensive it is to fly across the world and set up shop compared to the real world.

Something odd happened. I got a message in some evidently forign language, and yet I can still vaguely understand it's meaning.

Without a translator, can you infer the meaning of this?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Hmm "I am initiating the production of an 'empire'? of arms q3 (making a q3 arms company, most likely.) Something along the lines of working in it temporarily. I would like something with the skill of yours in manufacturing. Link to the company."
I kind of wish that I actually knew the language moreso than being able to deduce random words from my minuscule knowledge of french and spanish.

Has anyone else been contacted by some company trying to sell all manner of goods?

I think this company might be cheating, and buying all the goods they can get their hands on, then reselling them at higher prices. This might be why they have good prices, and why companies' stocks of material don't go down normally. They might have 50 q3 food, and suddenly these guys come along, buy them out, and sell them for ridiculous prices. This is called profiteering (sort of), and it is illegal.

I don't know if they are, though. Do we have any evidence? Should we report them, and let the admins see if they are?
That would be silly to be a bannable offence, I think. The Black Market is illegal, but it's not bannable, afaik.

But the Black Market exist due to a stupid work-around of the game mechanics...and is impossible to prevent. If you could prevent it, then, sure, make it an unbannable offense. But if you can't, then banning it is the only solution.
Banning should never be the solution to game mechanic flaws that have existed for so long they've pretty much achieved feature status. Having black market links is also quite flavourful, which is redeeming enough. I used to buy everything with a foreign organization for very cheap and ship it over to myself for practically nothing. I'd still be doing it if I wasn't buying bay12 food and weapons, instead.

You're right. We should fix those game mechanic flaws in the first place.

Without an ability to tax, the entire appratus of the State collaspes. This Black Market killed eThailand, for crying out loud!

Yeah, it's a huge difference, but you don't actually need to fight well. It does raise your rank, but you don't need to.

About the iron company: why? If we sell the iron at very low prices, the iron company will not profit as much. If we sell it at normal prices, well, I could just buy it at the market, couldn't I?

Why'd my salary go dooooooooooown?

I feel that this will be bad for workers. Because the wages will be so high, companies will refuse to hire workers with less than 3 or 4 skill - any lower, and the companies will start hemorrhaging money. Thus, new workers will be unable to get jobs.

Minimum wage laws are a excuse by the petiti-bourgeoise to enslave the mass newbierat. It's high time eRepublik experience another communist revolution.

Ah.
eRepublik is... different than real life.
In real life, minimum wage laws are very necessary. Otherwise, we'd see terrible wages that aren't enough to live. Corporations have all the power.
But eRepublik is idealized. You don't need to search for a job, because the workers have all the power. You can instantly look at every corporation offering jobs and take the one with the highest wage. And there's no unemployment. In the real world, there are unemployed people, and companies can pick the best. But in eRepublik, when there's extra labor, people just make new companies. It's easy and instantaneous. So workers will naturally force the companies to have competitive wages.

Thus, there's no need for labor laws, unlike real life.
