Has anyone else been contacted by some company trying to sell all manner of goods?

I think this company might be cheating, and buying all the goods they can get their hands on, then reselling them at higher prices. This might be why they have good prices, and why companies' stocks of material don't go down normally. They might have 50 q3 food, and suddenly these guys come along, buy them out, and sell them for ridiculous prices. This is called profiteering (sort of), and it is illegal.

I don't know if they are, though. Do we have any evidence? Should we report them, and let the admins see if they are?
That would be silly to be a bannable offence, I think. The Black Market is illegal, but it's not bannable, afaik.

But the Black Market exist due to a stupid work-around of the game mechanics...and is impossible to prevent. If you could prevent it, then, sure, make it an unbannable offense. But if you can't, then banning it is the only solution.
Banning should never be the solution to game mechanic flaws that have existed for so long they've pretty much achieved feature status. Having black market links is also quite flavourful, which is redeeming enough. I used to buy everything with a foreign organization for very cheap and ship it over to myself for practically nothing. I'd still be doing it if I wasn't buying bay12 food and weapons, instead.

Ah....
Listen, we might have a problem.

I assumed that iron wasn't an integral part of the production equation.
But it is.
1 iron is about .33, since q4 iron sells for about 1.33. So that means that for 1 weapon, 5 iron is 1.66. That's probably why weapon prices are so high.
That means that we don't earn 3 guaranis from 1 weapon sale, but 1.4 guaranis, less than half of what I thought.
This would explain why we've seemed to be hemorrhaging money and have only 100 guaranis or so left.
Can someone check my facts/math? And if it's true, we might have to drastically lower wages... Also, does anyone know where I can get cheap iron to counteract this?

Also, live frugally! q2 food should be basically your only expense. Higher qualities, of anything, are too expensive for their benefit. Like my main character - he has $50 saved because he hasn't done anything but buy food in a while.

Ukraine, Peru and recently Brazil have been some of the best regions to purchase cheap iron

I meant where more like "how", not where as in location.
Can I move the company over to Brazil and buy tons of iron or something?

Could set up an iron company in Brazil and buy the iron there, I guess. Or just buy your iron on the Brazillian market, assuming tariffs don't kill you.

Whoa, you can do that?

Hmmm, I tried buying iron in brazil, and there's no text box to enter how much you want to buy, nor a button to buy it... Which is a shame, because it's about 20% cheaper there.

Move your organization there first, I think. (organization, not company, nor regular account)

But it would be better to check the wiki first, to avoid the expense of a moving ticket each way.

Hungary has great prices - .26 PYG for 1 raw material. I'll move there when we get more money.

Salaries have been drastically reduced. I am very sorry. I made a terrible (like Boxbot) mistake, and I'm sorry I drained so much money... hopefully you saved most of it, though.
I hope the company can start buying houses for people soon. You guys should save up your salary, minus 1 PYG a day for q2 food, and maybe pool it to buy houses for employees.

Is this wage drop indefinite, or just temporary?

It is indefinite. I had miscalculated and paid you guys more than the company could afford to. I am terribly sorry.

However, your only expense should really only be q2 food.

And five guns when we are at war :)

Edit: You need to do something about the profitability though, I could be getting twice as much at some of the other companies and unless they are going bankcrupt they must be doing something we aren't.

Something odd happened. I got a message in some evidently forign language, and yet I can still vaguely understand it's meaning.

Without a translator, can you infer the meaning of this?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Quite a few of those words are similar to either english, in-game stuff, or french(wow, first time it ever helped me in real life!), and some others can be inferred from the context, enough that my vague interpretation was fairly close to what google translated it as(though missing a few key points)

That would be spanish, and it says:

I am beginning to build an arms business, I would like you to help me by working in it a little.
I would like to benefit from your manufacturing skill
Thank you for your attention.
Company link:

Really, Google translate gave practically the same result but it was nice to practice my rusty spanish skills.

I would like to have the skill you have in manufacturing.
From already thank you for your attention.
