I love how the thread was courting derailment, but then slammed right back on track.

All I see lately are groundhogs :/

Skeletal fish sometimes jump out of the rivers, and they are very fast on land too as one of my adventurers found out.

Skeletal fish are useless... The only thing that makes fish dangerous is that dwarves can't escape the water, so when they're on land they just get run over.

I've yet to see a skeletal or zombie dragon yet... Are they that rare?

Recenty saw a sasquatch. Didn't get to fight him/her/it, sadly.

I've never even seen a tunnel.

I found one yesterday.  Follow the ramps all the way down to the bottom of an AI dwarf fortress where the map shows a road to another fortress, and you'll find an underground road through the mountains.

Road-tripping along the dwarven lowway sucks.  Tunnels are extraordinarily monotonous.  No sources of food, no sources of water--so bring extra.  I spent a half hour traveling (needed to get through a mountain range) before I hit a dead-end where a bridge was constructed improperly.  There were a few naked mole dogs and cave swallowmen at first to kill, so that was fun, but other than that . . . tunnel.  Just tunnel.

And now I have to go back.
