You might want to change you key settings- if you abort world gen in the menu, the key to cancel the abort is "space". This is also the key to abort in the first place. If you accedentaly abort, you are trapped unless you give up the unsaved data. This can be fixed by changing your key settings, but the default will get you in trouble.

Worldgen is ending around 205 for me as well. Megabeats are being killed off way to quick, the poor things.

I think a way that could be fixed is letting the beasts have a method of reproduction. I think that's pretty easily moddable too... the problem would be the fact that you could end up with the complete oppisite problem. :L

I'm also thinking of sticking in some god-killing Megabeast to kill all the early heroes so worldgen lasts longer. Maybe some kind of 'Elephant of Boatmurdured' to herald the end of days.

Despite the sleep problems, I LOVE the new constructions. While they still require ludicrous amounts of resources and are built piece-by piece, they can be placed a LOT faster, and.....  floors can be designated hanging! Yaaay!!!

Almost sacrilegious...

Code: [Select]
Ala, "Ala"

Ala was a deity that occurs in the myths of the Labyrinthine Nation. Ala was most often depicted as
a male human and was associated with wisdom, scholarship and balance.

This could have gone wrong in some many ways...

Here's my message from the "Okay, it's tomorrow" thread:

Man, I probably should have checked the forums before doing this, but I put an EZ-Pack download on the DFFD.  Two, actually.  One uses the Guybrush tileset, and one uses the Guybrush ASCII tileset (for ASCII purists).

Here's the standard Guybrush
Here's the ASCII Guybrush

Thank you so much!

This is interesting. I'm my first world I made, I went too a goblin fortress, wanting to slaughter, seeing how long I could last. I ended up finding them extremely friendly, plus, a bunch of dwarfs, humans, and elves were living there in harmony with them.

I encountered this also. I want goblins to kill me darnit!

First, walk up to them and give the Universal Greeting; Bah Weep Granah Weep Ninni Bong

This will lull them into a false sense of security, allowing you to properly present the Traditional Dwarf-Goblin Greeting; *Insert Axe-A into Skull-B*

If that doesn't work, steal a sock.

I went into a human town as a dark elf knife user, to obtain a knife for my use. I walked into the shop, took a knife, and snuck out of town. Despite the fact that the town guards tended to chase after me, and that no one from that civ would ever speak to me again, I encountered no significant repercissions. The nice iron knife I stole didn't last me very long though, because after I murdered a child at night, some sleepless guard put an iron harpoon through my neck. He was himself decapitated shortly after (I think first I drove the knife handle-deep into his skull, because his brain was broken, then I just slashed him across the neck and took his head off), but I couldn't survive that wound.

WOOOOO! I love the TOWN LAYOUTS!
Like little huddled-together... town... thingies.

Even though the guards all pass out all the time...

Note 7/14 -- dwarves appear to be sleeping forever, so you can mess with the new world gen stuff, but hold off on playing a dwarf mode game until I get this fixed... I have to sleep now though, it has been a while

This may be a problem...

Yes I remember the long conversations we had about (Semi)Megabeast reproduction... Maybe it is around time to revive them... but Id just end up repeating myself.

To sum up what I said: (Semi)Megabeasts have a area of territory... If two dragons end up in the same space they will destroy eachother. They don't like competition so most, usually the weaker, (Semi)megabeasts will move to a new location.
-Note: this is so summed up I think I lost a ton of info in the translation.

Set percentage beast dead for stoppage to -1 (ignore). I've been generating worlds in the 9000's all morning.
