The reason is that the good ol' captain is turning the lowest levels, Ironblood's tomb, into a fiendish deathtrap for adventurers to meet their doom in explore.

Oh god, I think I need to sleep. I read it all. All 215 pages of it. All the posts. From those humble beginnings of inevitable futility, to those pages filled with nothing but incessant bumping, to those times where everything just stopped being normal dorfan and started being totally batshit insane.

And I read it all in one sitting. What is wrong with me? It's like the polar opposite of Boatmurdered, it's not great in the sense of everything just being insane and all, it's great in the sense that this one dorf could potentially singlehandedly destroy the universe with his beard. And what's worse is that every single dorf in that fort can do that.

Also, could I be Blossom, another Soapmaker? He could also be a Wrassler or an Axedwarf, if you're not planning on making a Soap tower anytime soon, seeing as how it's nearing the end and all. Thanks.

Nist Akath has what, 225ish dwarve? I think that about 180 of them are in the military. Even if we didnt have the Captain, Bomrek, Adalore, and all the other legends, we could swarm enemies to death.

I'm guessing less than 150, since I believe that the Baron just became a Count recently, right? I don't know the exact numbers though.

Wow... just, wow...

I've managed to read all story current posts in the past 24 hours strewn across the 214 pages.

This included six hours of sleeping, about half an hour of getting ready, and five hours of work.

My eyes aren't tired, either. Should I be worried?

Having forgotten most of the story and, most importantly, where I left off (somewhere in the page 100-150 range ), I've spent the past several days chugging through this beast.  It was epic in the beginning and has continued to push the boundaries of awesome ever since.  This trumps Boatmurdered (and the other SA succession games that introduced me to DF).  It's just so damned dwarven!

I think that's outside the story. It should be noted that an elven invasion isn't always a joke, it can be the end of the world's last dwarven civ, with the elves eating the slain dwarves! Never EVER underestimate ANY creature in DF.

Hello.  This is my first post on the forum.  I'd been lurking for a while, but I never really had a reason to post until now.  I hadn't read through this thread (or even bothered to look for it, sadly) until sometime yesterday, but it was quite the read.

I'm not posting just to say I have a post here, though.  I'm posting to point out something that others seem to have missed.  Remember the hydra battle where you voted on whether or not Ironblood lives?  Don't you all just want to kick yourselves about that now?
