I've been reading this thread since it was on page thirty-two (or somewhere close to it), and I have to say it became an incredible story, even if the actual gameplay is largely fudged. I applaud this fortress and hope it ends well for the Captain.

I didn't register just for this thread, but my reading it was close enough to my join date that we can pretend.  This is worthy of far more than <GENERIC PRAISE>, but sadly I am very tired and can offer little else.  All I can say is, my greatest aspiration in life is to become as awesome in some aspect of my life as Captain Mayday is in writing this story and playing DF.  That will fulfill my entire existence.

Yes, but there are also an outrageous number of enemies out there to bleed on him.

Sadly, I think the Captain has said that there won't be time for any dwarves joining the end of the queue of dwarves waiting to join the fort to actually arrive. Presumably the end is nigh.

question, about 100 pages ago, it was mentioned that the goblin who joined up with the dawrvs was wandering around naked...

why?  i mean really, is there any reason he would be able to find SOMETHING to wear, sure it might have a few axe/sword/arrow holes in it, a Missing left sleeve and a suspicously large amound of blood on it, but he would still have clothing to wear...

I've managed to read all story current posts in the past 24 hours strewn across the 214 pages.

This included six hours of sleeping, about half an hour of getting ready, and five hours of work.

My eyes aren't tired, either. Should I be worried?

Holy Hell. When I'd started reading I figured this fortress game would be long complete, by now, and I was just reading history. I had no idea it might still be going. Good on ya!
