Fey
For too long have these southern invaders desecrated these lands. Ancient groves torn down. Runestones shattered. Wards erected to pen in and force away the Free Folk.
No longer. As agents of the Fey you have decided that now is the time to strike. Remove all who stand against you, and take back your lands so that human and fey can live in harmony once again!
Caz (fey)
Long has your family served the Fey, honoring them as is their due and in return bringing bounty to the lands. They have sought your aid, and you are Feybound to aid them.
You have no special powers of your own, but you can perform your team’s Night Kill.
Maximum Spin (fey)
While you appear human, you are actually a Fey trapped here by the wards put up by the town’s priests. You can use your natural powers as an Illusionist, weaving powerful misdirection magic to redirect another player during the night.
As the scum team for this game, you two have a Night Kill that one of you can use each night. You will also be given a special Discord channel that only you have access to so that you can plot in secret.
===========================
3rd Party
Elephant Parade (other)
You are no human, but a Guardian Angel sent here by the Heavens. You have but one goal, to Protect Snowkiller and ensure that they survive these turbulent times. The Heavens have other plans for them, so keep them safe.
Each night you may choose one of two Boons to bestow upon Snowkiller. You can either Protect them from all harm that night, or Sway minds in their favor which means they will need 2 more votes than necessary to execute during the day.
You are 3rd party, and win if Snowkiller is alive at the end of the game regardless of overall outcome.
ToonyMan (other)
The woods are angry. You’re not sure why they are angry. Perhaps too many trees have been cut down. Or dark magics are being performed there. In any case, it’s the fault of the Humans, you’re quite sure of that.
And you, you are no human. You are actually a Wearbear, blessed with the ability to disguise yourself as human during the day and revel in your true bear form at night. And now it is time to eliminate these humans, all of them, and put the woods at ease once again.
Each night you can choose to either perform a Night Kill and go out and kill your target, or Ambush anyone who comes sniffing around your home and kill them.
You are 3rd party, and win if all other players are dead.
===========================
Town
Crystalizedmire (town)
You are one of the town’s Guards, tasked with protecting the citizens from harm. Each night you can Lock another player in their house and stand watch over them, preventing them from leaving the house to perform any actions. However, if they are attacked you will be attacked instead of them.
You are Town

You are a Warlock, a magician who dabbles in the spirit realm. Each night you may choose to commune with the spirit of a dead player, allowing you to PM them during the night phase. Doing so requires visiting their grave, but you cannot be prevented from doing so by any means.
You are Town

sofanthiel (town)
You are trained in the arts of an Illusionist, allowing you to weave powerful misdirection magic to Redirect another player during the night. You will need to go to that player’s house to use your power.

Caz Fey Feybound Alive Kill Hector13 Fails - bulletproof
The loss of your companion stings, but it also fuels your rage. How dare these invaders kill off one of the fey with their foul magic?
You pick up your bow and stalk off into the night. Death can be repaid with death, after all.
You sneak through the streets, avoid the guards who patrol with ease. At last you reach Hector13’s house. You can see him moving dimly through the translucent windows of his house.
After waiting a bit you get a shot lined up, and the arrow flies true. But something alerted him, and he manages to fling himself aside at the last moment.
You ready another arrow. After a few moments the front door opens, and you loose the arrow at him. He raises a shield and catches it square on. He has a sword raised in his other hand, and shouts for the guard.
This is not going as planned. Time to get away while you still can. Hector, at least, is no easy target.
You make your way through the streets without getting caught, and close your door with a sigh of relief. May the fey grant you the strength to see this through, for this first day has been nothing but bad.
--
Crystalizedmire Town Guard Alive Lock sofanthiel Locks
You march up to sofanthiel’s house shortly after the meeting adjourns and take up station.
“Oi! So you know, you’re getting locked in tonight. For your own safety, and the safety of the town. No one goes in, no one gets out. Not until morning!”
“Hey! Why me?” Asks a voice from within the house.
“Don’t have to tell you that! No, you just stay nice and snug in there, and I’ll let you out in the morning.”
You hear a cabinet bang angrily from inside, but nothing else notable happens. The night passes in peace, and you head home for some breakfast and a quick nap before the next day’s trials.
--
Elephant Parade Other Guardian Angel Alive Protect Snowkiller Protects
You channel the light of the heavens through you, and send the Blessing of Protection to Snowkiller to protect them from harm for the night. Come what may, they shall see the light of the rising sun at least one more time.

Hector13 Town Knight Alive Attacked, fought off
You’re just setting a bowl of stew down on your table when your instincts kick in and you jerk backwards. An arrow rips its way through the fabric covering your window and thuds in the far wall. If you hadn’t move, that would have been right through your skull!
No time to think. You grab your sword and shield from by the door and move outside.
Another arrow flies at you, this one blocked by your shield.
You call for the guards as you scan the area for your assailant. A dim shape can be seen fleeing down an alleyway.
A few guards join you and you give chase, but whoever it is is gone.
You return to your house and spend a little bit of time shuttering the windows and barring the door. No telling if they’ll return or not, but someone out there clearly wants you dead!
The rest of the night passes uneventfully, though, and you make your way to the Shrine for the next session of the Trials.
--
Snowkiller Town Sexton Alive Someone visited Max's grave, but it is undisturbed
You go out to the graveyard in the morning to check on things before you head off to the next session of the Trials.
There are signs that Maximum Spin’s grave was visited last night. Footprints in the dirt, and some scuffing around the edges. But the grave seems otherwise undisturbed.
--
sofanthiel Town Illusionist Alive Redirect Hector13 to Hector13 Locked
As you’re making your preparations for the night you hear a loud bang at your front door.
Alarmed, you hurry over to it and try to open it, only to discover that it is barred.
A voice calls in from outside. “Oi! So you know, you’re getting locked in tonight. For your own safety, and the safety of the town. No one goes in, no one gets out. Not until morning!”
That…that’s not great. You’ve got stuff to do!
“Hey! Why me?” You call out to the guard outside. Maybe you can talk your way out of this?
“Don’t have to tell you that! No, you just stay nice and snug in there, and I’ll let you out in the morning.” comes the reply.
Ugh. You slam close the cupboard you had been gathering your tools from. Looks like you aren’t doing much tonight after all.
The night does pass quietly, at least, and your door is unlocked in time for you to attend the next session of the Trials.
--
ToonyMan Other Werebear Alive Ambush Nothing
Maybe they’ll come to you. Maybe multiple people will come to you. You shift into your true from and settle down in a dark corner of the house with easy sight and access to the door. If anyone comes lurking around, you’ll give them more than they bargained for!
But…no one does. The night is calm and uneventful.
Ah, well. Time to don your human guise and attend the next session of the Trials.

TricMagic Town Warlock Alive Contacts Maximum Spin
You wrap yourself in spells of silence and shadow, and make your way to the graveyard.
Maximum Spin’s grave is easy to spot, being the only fresh one in the yard. You sprinkle rose thorns around the edges, and light a blue candle near the head of the grave.
Soon the spirit responds and you spend much of the night conversing.
As dawn nears you clean up the grave a bit and head home. You’ll need at least a little sleep before the next day’s trials, and some food would be welcome as well.
Caz Fey Feybound Alive Kill Toonyman Double kill
Ugh. These invaders and their “ancestors”.
Bah. Your ancestors were here long before they showed up. Things went better today, they can go better tonight.
You grab your bow and belt your quiver around your waist. Toonyman will not be so lucky.
His house sits along the eastern woods, and isn’t that long a trek from your own. When you arrive the house is quiet, but you do see signs that he is home. The bright moonlight lets you search the area quickly, although the shadow of the trees does hinder you a bit. After scouting around the outside, you find no good options for shooting in. You’ll have to go inside to do this.
Testing the door you find it to be unlocked, so you draw back your bow and push the door in with your foot. It’s quiet inside, but you can feel someone in there.
You step in, quietly. The soft sounds of heavy breathing alert you, and let loose the arrow before you’ve even taken a full second step. The arrow thuds into a large shape that barrels towards you.
Rolling backwards you manage to just evade the claws of a huge bear! You scramble backwards, the bow falling from your hands as you move away.
The beast looks at you, and then down at your arrow sticking out of its chest. With a roar it charges forward. You roll to the side, a sharp pain in your back as a claw rakes across it. Ignoring the pain you leap forward, grab fur in both hands, and haul yourself up on the beast's back. It tries to shake you off, but you manage to hold on and pull out your dagger.
Blow after blow sinks into the creature, and it grows more enraged by the second. Finally it hurls itself backwards, slamming you into the ground and its great bulk on top of you. Pain erupts all along your side, and you’re quite certain you heard something snap.
The creature rolls off of you, and staggers to its feet. Blood from a dozen wounds seeps along its fur and forming a great dark stain in the dim light.
It’s…it’s hard to get your breath. You’re pretty sure quite a few ribs are broken. And the pain is almost more than you can manage.
“Damn you, bear.” *cough* “Why are you helping them, anyway.”
“Helping, no one, but me.” Wheezes the bear.
As you thought. A werebear. Pity it came to this. Would have made an amazing ally. You collapse back onto your back, your side and lungs on fire. The bear also collapses, a few paces away from you.
“Heh. Not. Even. That. Now.” You manage to croak out. It’s getting harder to breathe. Hard to stay awake.
“Hate. You.” the Bear wheezes, more quietly.
“Hate. You. Too.” you manage to mutter.
You close your eyes. It doesn’t matter, really, everything had gone black anyway.
In a moment, the pain fades as your soul slips into darkness.
You have died.

Crystalizedmire Town Guard Alive Lock TricMagic Locks (not really)
Tonight you’ve decided that TricMagic is due for a Lock-in, and march over as soon as the sun begins to set.
“Oi! You, inside! It’s the Town Guard, and you’re to be barred inside until morning for your protection and the town’s! No funny business, now, I ain’t in the mood for it.”
“Sure, sure.” A voice casually responds from inside.
They don’t seem to try the door or anything else, so you settle in and start your watch.
The night passes uneventfully, so you unbar the door and head off home to get some much needed rest and something to eat.
--
sofanthiel Town Illusionist Alive Redirect TricMagic to themself Redirects (not really)
You slip through the town, easily using your powers to avoid the wandering guards, until you arrive at Tric’s house. There you carefully weave a masterful illusion that should force them to keep coming back to their own house rather than wherever else they may try to go.
Satisfied that you’ve done what you can, you return home for some well deserved rest before the next day’s Trials.
--
ToonyMan Other Werebear Alive Ambush Double kill
You decided to stay in and ambush again. No need to go out, and maybe some good if you stay in.
Some hours pass, and the moon is full and bright in the sky by the time you hear the sounds.
Footsteps. Quiet, and moving around the house. It’s being scouted, clearly. Maybe an attack?
The steps are near the door. Good. Good. Just come inside, whoever you are. Let’s make this quick.
Whoever it is moves quickly, quicker than you’d expect. The door opens and they step in, firing an arrow at you before you’ve so much as started to move. You feel the pain as it thuds into your chest.
A bad wound? Maybe? No time to worry about that. Kill now, tend after.
You rush forwards swinging a mighty paw at where your attacker stands. Stood, rather, as they’ve rolled backwards out the door again.
Testing the door you find it to be unlocked, so you draw back your bow and push the door in with your foot. It’s quiet inside, but you can feel someone in there. You follow as they scramble their way outside.
You step on their bow as you move towards them. A twinge in your chest. You look down. The arrow…not in a great spot. You’re not going to have much time to do this. You roar in anger and charge forward. Another swipe, this one connecting, sends the figure rolling to the side.
With surprising agility your foe manages to spring to their feet and lunges at your side. Before you can react they’ve hauled themselves up onto your back!
You shake furiously, but they manage to hold on. Sharp pain starts to erupt all around your shoulders, neck, and head as they rain blows down onto you. Probably a knife. But who cares.
In pain and enraged you do the only thing left you can think of and hurl yourself backwards. Your bulk slams down upon your assailant, and you hear a grunt of pain.
You roll off and over, back onto your feet. Mostly. You’re staggering, now. Something, something is very wrong.
The pain clouds your mind, and while you try to summon the energy to attack again the figure speaks.
“Damn you, bear.” *cough* “Why are you helping them, anyway.”
Them? Which them? Eh. Doesn’t matter. “Helping, no one, but me.” you manage to wheeze. The pain is getting worse. You’re starting to get woozy.
You collapse onto the ground. Need to rest. For a moment. Just a moment.
“Heh. Not. Even. That. Now.” they manage to croak out. Sounds like they’re doing as badly as you.
Why did they have to come here? Why did they have to cause all this trouble? Would have been better if they all just left well enough alone. “Hate. You.” you manage to get out. It’s getting much harder to say anything at all.
“Hate. You. Too.” you hear a mutter.
You assume it’s them. Who else would it be?
Hard to keep your eyes open.
Hard to think.
Need. To. Rest.
Soon, the pain fades as your soul slips into darkness.
You have died.

TricMagic Town Warlock Alive Speak with Snowkiller Speaks, avoids guard
As you gather up your kit you hear a loud bang from outside, and then a voice shouting. “Oi! You, inside! It’s the Town Guard, and you’re to be barred inside until morning for your protection and the town’s! No funny business, now, I ain’t in the mood for it.”
“Sure, sure.” you call back. It seems someone doesn’t want you out and wandering tonight.
Well, whatever. You weave spells of silence and shadow around yourself and slip out a window, easily avoiding whoever is standout outside your front door. You also feel a twinge of some magic attempting to interfere with you, but that is also defeated by your wards. Seeing no sign of what might have caused it, you decide to take a bit of a roundabout route to ensure you’re not being followed.
Finally, you head to the graveyard. With no real bodies to speak of, proper graves weren’t dug. However, you do find marking stones for both Snowkiller and Elephant Parade. Pulling out candle and thorns you once again perform the rites to talk to a spirit who has passed.
As the night grows long you clean up your tools and head home. A new Trial comes with the Dawn, and you’ll want to be ready for it.
